On and off island we have great businesses and clubs that are also supporting the community and are open for business across the islands and mainland a comprehensive list will be put out later today. Pharmacy Australia Post has announced the launch of its Pharmacy Home Delivery Service to assist vulnerable members of the community who may be in isolation and unable to access essential medications. Give your local Pharmacy a call to discuss. On Water and Transport Ive been working closely with the General Manager of Translink Passenger Services we are closely monitoring ferry travel and there will be more updates coming on this. Be sensible at our boat ramps. Rents and Leases Many of you have reached out due to the recent announcement from the Prime Minister regarding the Moratorium on rent. Owners and tenants should work to reach agreement around rental payments until Centrelink income support arrives. Neither landlords or tenants are to blame for this, and now is the time for tenants to have a chat to their landlords about how they can work through this process and get out to the other side of this pandemic with a roof over their head. The Residential Tenancies Authority is available to help tenants or owners who may need support to find a resolution that works for both parties. You can call them on 1800 497 161 where you can also find out a range of other services As always you can contact my office for any assistance. P 07 3446 0100 E [email protected]
