25.01.2022 due to covid cancellations we have had some key dates become available for later this year. Whether you are looking at small indoor gatherings or hoping to recreate the wedding of your dreams in our gardens, send us an email. We have Fridays, Sundays, and even a few Saturdays up for grabs, and we a waiving our minimum spend requirements and all enquiries are welcome!

We have had so many requests to offer our degustation menu that we are opening the venue EVERY FRIDAY starting in July, and Nathan is kicking it off with TRUFFLES!! bookings are essential, SO BOOK NOW!! $105 for five courses, $175 with paired wines matched by Jack Lamont. this will be a season like no other and we cant wait to showcase what we have created. As the truffle season season fades we will modify the menu to suit, we hope to be able to offer DEGUSTATION FRIDAYS RIGHT THROUGH TO SEPTEMBER!!

They play an integral role in bringing the two of you together, the melding of two families to create one love. A celebrant wears many hats on the day; conductor, performer, comedian, crowd controller. They assist with music, will help you out of the car and fluff your dress, wipe away your tears and keep you ...calm. They will also help you in the planning leading up to the big day by coaching you with your vows and assist you with the rehearsal so you can get the timing just right as you walk down the aisle. They will create a ceremony that is not only memorable for you but for your friends and family as well. And because they know the industry so well they are a great source of information and recommendations! 20.01.2022 Wedding cakes! Just thinking about them makes me drool! A gorgeous wedding cake can be the centrepiece of a wedding and it typically sits in a place of honour at the reception. Choosing the right cake doesnt have to be daunting, though for some couples it can be a struggle to decide! Your supplier will recommend flavours then create a cake that reflects your style, themes and colours. The cake architect will then come up with a design taking into consideration your intent...ions with the cake is it being served as the guests dessert? Or cut into small portions to enjoy with coffee? Or maybe you prefer to have it cut and presented in decorative boxes for guests to take home? At Lamonts we do not charge a cakeage fee to serve with coffee or box it up for guests to take home. If you decide to serve it your dessert, we will design condiments that compliment the cake making it a spectacular dessert to be enjoyed. This cost is reflected in the package rate. And dont forget dessert buffets! Maybe go for a smaller cake that features as the centrepiece of a stunning dessert buffet, with a selection of all your favourite tarts, cakes and pastries. That sounds serious, but when it is all said and done, your photos are one of the only tangible things youll have to show for your wedding. Unforgettable memories are great but lets face it, well probably all be senile one day! Good photography is an investment for your future. The flowers wi...ll die, food will be digested, and multiple glasses of wine will be consumed on the day. But your photos will live on forever and become a part of your personal history and a keepsake to show future generations. So, take the time to build a strong relationship with your photographer, follow them on social media and trust your personal taste. Book the photographer whose work you truly love and admire. Be honest with your photographer, explain your expectations but more importantly follow their guidance and recommendations. They have the experience and knowledge to create what you want. You will potentially be working with them from the time you first put on your dress in the morning right through to your bridal dance, they are one of the hardest working people on the day and will miraculously pull of a 12 15 hour shift to get just the right photos. 10.01.2022 Choosing furniture is one of my favourite things, I love how the feel and look of the perfect lounge with a couple of plush cushions can transform a space and add another dimension to an event. designing a section of your reception that can be a nice relaxing zone after a boogie on the dance floor has its benefits, allowing guests to meander through the reception during the night. Then there is the tables and chairs which in themselves can be statement pieces. Stunning velvet... chairs in dusty pinks and greys, classic crisp white wooden bentwoods, and ultra modern plastic chairs. My personal favourite for Lamonts Bishops House is naked wood table tops with traditional bentwood chairs in natural wood tones - classic, simplistic and understated, perfect for a twilight event under the stars in our gardens. At Lamonts we have a range of furniture and equipment onsite that you are welcome to at no charge, but we do allow couples to hire whatever they prefer that suits their personal design and budget. Some couples hire everything down to the last teaspoon while others use what we have at the venue already, the choice is yours. First have a think about the theme and styling then review the suppliers that suit your design requirements. Take into consideration other equipment you may wish to hire to help transform the space and enhance the design, maybe you need to hire a bar or DJ booth. 02.01.2022 musicians, artists and DJs have all been hit hard at the moment so todays post is going to be musically inclined. Music can be tremendously powerful and emotive, atmospheric and uplifting. Choosing the right songs for your ceremony and first dance will help set the mood and having an acoustic performer can elevate the scene tremendously. We have seen a lot of bands and live performers at Lamonts and the crowds reaction is always remarkable. A live performer will help lift... the crowd and encourage the dance floor to really groove. Good DJs can have a similar reaction, they can read the guests interaction and enhance the vibe. Choosing the right DJ is important, you want someone who understands your own personal music taste, will work with your genre and knows how to react to the crowd. A good DJ can also assist as your MC, will help with ceremony music, and work with the venue with scheduling. Some DJs are artists in their own right, with their own eclectic vibes that create an amazing dance floor atmosphere. Most of the artists we see at Lamonts are from personal recommendations, so ask your friends who they follow and enjoy.
