25.01.2022 Dance is so much more then just class! Worth the read... If you give a girl a tutu, she will want ballet shoes to go with it.... You’ll buy her the best leotard you can find, and then she will want tap shoes, tights and dance shorts too. Then, she will probably spend hours begging you to watch her dance, even though you may want to sit on the couch and watch tv. She will insist. And her insistence will win. And when a girl gets a tutu, she will need warm-ups and leotards and a mat to tumble on... And a TEAM.. And then life as you know it will end. There will be no more lazy weekends watching tv. You will see more sunrises than you ever thought possible. Every spare minute of your time will be spent hauling costumes and bags. Cleaning dirty tights and driving crazy dancers all over tarnation for hours to practice for competition. THE COMPETITION! And your house will be a mess. And your car will be dirty. All because you gave a girl a tutu. Her weekends will be spent gaining confidence and friends, and learning new skills and having fun and getting a little tougher. So tough in fact you may have a hard time recognizing your little girl anymore. And you will be there the day she hits her stunt, and the first time she competes or saves a move, and the first time she finally lands her cartwheel. And she will make you SO proud. The other moms will congratulate you. But you feel weird saying thank you because it's not you in the air or on the ground. It's everything her. She did this! And right before your eyes, your little girl will be transformed from the baby who played with dolls, into a dancer who plays hard and works even harder. And she will still love your attention! When you give a girl a tutu, you give her more than just a skirt. You give her a sport, a talent, hopes, dreams, friends, and a new family. A place to learn about life, room to grow as a person, she now enjoys pushing her limits. Bravery, courage, LIFE, and memories. And she will have ALL of these things, simply because you gave a girl a tutu. And because you gave a girl a tutu, you too will develop new friendships, developed solely from the same passion and love of your team. You will root together, you will hold your breath together. With such a huge week of classes and rehearsals to then back it up with a weekend of competition I am awe of their dedication and love for dance. Some amazing results as well. Mackenzie 1st classical solo and 3rd Demi character, Simara 2nd song and dance and HC jazz, Madisyn HC jazz, Hayley HC jazz and classical and an amazing first place for Summer and Hayley Classical Duo. 01.01.2022 These gorgeous girls had their last rehearsal tonight before they compete For the very first time on Saturday. They have come so far from starting to learn their routines via zoom and then a school oval to finally being allowed in a studio. I am already so proud of what they have accomplished!
