08.01.2022 Yesterday we got to run Steve Carkeets 565 BBC HQ up on the dyno. Thanx heaps to Scott Hoffman from Cleveland Exhaust for the hub dyno again, much appreciated. We did the first run up N/A to make sure all was good with the new MSD grid ignition system wired up thanx to Ash Mason 1st hit 791hp N/A, 2nd hit we turned the gas on starting with a 150hp jet that resulted in 955hp, 3rd hit 200hp jet resulting in 1015hp which put a smile on us all cracking the 1000hp. Steve wanting more we went to a 250hp jet resulting in 1057hp which should put Steve where he wants his HQ to run at the track. Thanx to Steve & Bec for allowing LRE to build the engine & help out with their HQ combo

07.01.2022 Yesterday Willowbank Raceway opened for the first time thanks to COVID-19 which allowed Steve Carkeet to run his 565 BBC HQ with its new LRE built combo. The old Dart headed (382cfm @ .800) 565 using only a single .084 nitrous jet (252hp) made 1057hp @ the hubs did its first outing well. 1st pass the girl smashed the tyres off & Steve was quick to catch her & not hit the rev limiter (thanks mate) & just rolled thru. 2nd pass saw the track have a bit more bite & able to hook... the girl. Steve clicked her off just after the 1/8 with a 5.90 so we could do a plug check & all was mint, time to send her full 1/4. 3rd pass went well with a 1.31 60ft 5.54 @ 127 1/8 & 8.64 @ 156.8 making smiles all round. Steve got to run his goal of an 8 sec pass in the 3700lb + girl which was made even better having his son & old man there to see it happen. Steve had 1 more pass to the 1/8 going 1.30 60ft & 5.53 @ 127 to get her ready for the Kenda Radial event coming up soon. 07.01.2022 LRE would like to congratulate Steve Carkeet on a few PBs on the weekend. First was to run in the 1.2 over the 60ft on Friday & running a 5.50 bettering his 5.53 at the previous meeting. Then we decided to increase the nitrous from the 250hp .084 jet to 300hp .095 jet resulting in his huge wheelstand. A massive thanks to Suspension Dynamics Ross & Steve for staying back to supply & repair the broken front shock adjusters so Steve could run on Saturday. A first pass Saturday resulting in another PB for Steve of 5.40 @ 129 & a few more passes during the day lowered the 60ft down to a 1.240 on the last pass of the day. Great results for the weekend thats for sure. A big thanks also to the Kenda & Willowbank crews for a great track, not once did we blow the tyres off

03.01.2022 Well.....after a lot of work we finally ran the Dyno up this weekend, a couple of teething issues that we will sort out this week, then ready to make some steam. Need to clear the back log of engines!
