05.01.2022 THEY ARE SAFE! ... We are going to be real and honest with you - the last thing we want is for you, our amazing followers, to think we may make things out to be worse than they are. Last week you may remember we already posted about these two sweet girls. They were due to be euthanised on Friday and we were frantically looking for carers up until the last hour. Unfortunately, no suitable carers came forward! However, they were held over by absolute sheer luck only because someone known to the previous owner had come forward. Unfortunately, we have just been notified this option fell through and now these girls face the same fate with the vet returning this coming Friday. We MUST secure foster carers for these girls or they will not see Friday Sunset. We are forever grateful when we hear that a pound has decided to hold over a dog, but this isn't always the case and these girls had their 2nd chance already. We have no reason to believe they will get another. So we beg you to please share this post far and wide. They are beautiful girls and we want to pull them to safety! What we know: Shirley Rae - 3 years old - Must be an only dog, no cats and older children (teens) only. She has had minimal training and therefore jumps and is a little overly excitable. She is a playful ball of energy, and we would love for someone to work with her on some basic training. She has a beautiful nature, otherwise. Mia - 4 years old - Mia is much the same as Shirley-Rae as she still acts like a puppy due to a lack of training througout her life. She will also suit a family free of other pets. We know that with a bit of time and patience, she will come around and be a playful loving dog. What we offer: PPAR will offer a great amount of support. We will organise for the girls to be brought to SEQ, we can help with further transport if needed, we can help with food and we cover all vet costs. We just ask that you treat them like you would your own. Can you help? WHO - We are calling out for two carers in the Brisbane / Gold Coast / Sunshine Coast areas who can commit to caring for these girls until they are adopted. WHAT - A Foster Carer provides a temporary home until PPAR can find a forever home. We pay for the dog’s vet work, ongoing flea treatment and can even provide food. HOW - If you can foster, please complete the application to foster at [https://ppar.com.au/foster/application/](https://ppar.com.au/foster/application/) Regardless of the urgency, we cannot allocate a dog without a completed application. PLEASE ONLY COMMENT TO SAY THAT YOU WILL TAKE A DOG OR SUBMIT THE APPLICATION IF YOU ARE GENUINELY AVAILABLE TO OFFER THIS ANIMAL A HOME. WE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU WANT TO HELP, BUT TIME SPENT PROCESSING APPLICATIONS WHICH DO NOT PROCEED, TAKE TIME AWAY FROM VALUABLE WORK NEEDED TO SAVE DOGS FROM BEING EUTHANISED.
