23.01.2022 What an amazing Christmas rally we had today. Thanks to everyone that helped make this day a success. ...

18.01.2022 You know it has been a good day when you can’t fit all your ribbons on your pony’s neck. Phoebe and her gorgeous pony Diego had a wonderful day at Gisborne today. Congratulations on also winning the overall Topsy Trouper Award.

18.01.2022 President’s Report Hi everyone, As you are all very aware a lot of things have changed since our last Rally. We are living in a very different and uncertain world at the moment. Our L&DPC facebook page has been updating you all on the everchanging situation facing Pony Clubs during this challenging time.... Sadly, as you all would be aware, there will be NO rally this weekend and as your President I can’t say when Pony Club will be back. I’d like to lean on the positive side of life and say see you all in May but that would be very unlikely at this stage. As there is no Rally (this Month) there will be no AGM, so all positions will remain as they are for the time being. How long we can put off the AGM is another uncertainty; the committee will keep you posted if there is a need to use technology to conduct an AGM. Staying healthy and safe (at home) with your families is the most important thing at this point in time. I know people will have some concerns regarding Membership costs especially if we are kept away from Pony Club for a considerable length of time. The Club has worked hard to be financially stable and if need be, we’ll look at supporting our members (regarding their membership) rather than risk losing anyone. Another uncertainty is our up and coming Combined Training Day, which is extremely popular and very profitable for our Club. We hold out hope not to lose it but again that’s wishful thinking. Pony Club Victoria has been active in trying to keep Pony Clubbers interested by setting up fun and educational activities online. All members would have received emails regarding this setup. All the best over the next few weeks, enjoy the time with your families and your four-legged friends. Hopefully we’ll see you all soon Cheers Chris Willmott President L&DPC

14.01.2022 Zoe and her gorgeous pony Molly had an wonderful day at Gisborne yesterday showing what a true pony club allrounder is. Bringing home ribbons in showing, games and showjumping. Well done girls!!!

14.01.2022 One of our newest members braved her first ever horse trials today. Not only did she remember her dressage test, a show jumping course and she nailed the cross country too, she also placed 6th overall. Very proud of Pheobe and her pony Diego!!!

12.01.2022 Rio A gorgeous boy at 16yo 15.3hh Tb gelding. I purchased Rio for my then 11yo son. In this time they have achieved more than we could ever have imagined. ...In the three years they have been a combination they have dressaged, jumped, evented, games, trail ridden and swam in the dam. Rio has been part of the National Eventing Team twice, once in Toowoomba with his previous owners and last year to Sydney with us. He is excellent to float and will stand by the float all day. Rio is well educated and quiet on the flat but can get excited when he jumps. Although he has been an eventer for years he would absolutely suit a rider that wants a chilled out safe dressage horse that doesn’t need to be ridden every day and also enjoys a wander around the block. He is used to a busy noisy family life with all different farm animals around his feet. He is a super special boy and will only be parted with to an amazing home. 13000 located in Kilmore area. 11.01.2022 The weather was amazing for our first rally back. It was so good to see everyone and our members enjoyed everything from jumping to games and dressage to trail riding. Thanks so much to all our families that followed our COVID guidelines. ... Thanks to our wonderful instructors for teaching our kids. Thanks to all our horses and ponies for being fantastic today. BUT........... The biggest thank you goes to all our gorgeous riders that are so well mannered and just a pleasure to be around. It is lovely to hear from instructors how beautiful you all are and how much they love teaching you all. We missed our members still in lockdown and look forward to you joining us soon.

05.01.2022 New Rules for Pony Club 2020 is bringing in some new rules for Pony Club events. I would highly recommend reading carefully through all 6 rulebooks. However her...e is a quick summary of important changes! -You can no longer compete in a Pony Club class and an Open class at the same level on the same horse. So you cannot enter PC 4 Dressage and Open 4 Dressage. You may still enter PC 4 Dressage and Open 3 Dressage though. -New Advanced Dressage level -Leaving the arena rules have changed again Grade 5/6: Error of Course Grade 1-4: Error of Course if leave arena at A and return to arena within 20 seconds. Otherwise eliminated Note:If the arena has intermittent boards, poles or line markings (Which is very rare) then always an error of course. -Half marks can now be given in dressage -Body protectors will be compulsory in XC for Grade 1-3 from 2021.
