06.01.2022 TENNIS IS BACK! We are now well and truly back into the swing of things with tennis coaching resuming at the Lancefield Tennis Club and it has been amazing to see everyone back on court. Tennis is an amazing sport, which can help build fitness, tennis specific skills and also builds community and lifelong friendships. Spark Tennis aims to provide tennis lessons in a safe environment where anyone and everyone has the opportunity to learn from collaborative, engaging and s...upportive coaches. Tennis is a sport that can be played safely, with minimal contact with others and the Coaching Team at Spark Tennis are all working alongside the Tennis Victoria guidelines for Returning to Safe Play. Currently we have openings for the following lesson times for children’s group lessons. Monday: 4:00 4:30 4:30 5:15 5:30 6:15 6:15 7:15 Wednesday: 4:00 4:30 4:30 5:15 We also offer Adult Private and Semi- Private lessons, please just let us know if you are interested and we can work out a time, If you are interested in lessons within the amazing Macedon Ranges at any of our venues, or have some family or friends that are looking for a safe way to stay active, please get in touch with the Spark Team via our website, https://sparktennis.com.au/, facebook or via mobile on 0492 815 402 and ask for Andrew. 05.01.2022 It's AGM time again! This year's AGM will be held via zoom on Tuesday, October 27th at 7.30 pm. The link for the zoom meeting will be emailed to all LTC members one week prior to the meeting. Please consider attending, we are always looking for more members to be a part of the committee! On a positive note, our juniors are back in action from this Friday, and Thursday night tennis makes a comeback next week. There are some changes due to Covid, but there is still plenty of fun on offer. We are looking forward to seeing everyone back on the courts!

04.01.2022 Please read the following guidelines from Tennis Victoria regarding current recommendations for tennis: Outdoor (all ages) courts may open for the following: o Singles and Doubles play permitted o Competition play o Group coaching with up to 10 participants plus the coach o A cap of 10 participants per group ie. Up to 10 participants per court is permitted Indoor club houses must remain closed. o Toilets/change-rooms may remain open if indoors Tennis equipment must... not be shared Spectators are not permitted unless supervising children or assisting players with additional needs. A register of participant details that enter the facility must be maintained, you may want to use this QR Code resource to assist with participant tracking and encourage facility users to download the COVIDSafe app Participants 12 years and older must wear a face mask, unless an exemption applies. If you are doing strenuous physical exercise you do not need to wear a face covering but you must carry one with you. Strenuous exercise can include playing tennis. See more
