20.01.2022 We’ve committed an additional $46.5M for new world-class local services at Ipswich Hospital if re-elected: $24.5M for an alcohol and drug rehabilitation service. $11M for paediatrics and a dedicated mental health area in emergency.... $9.3M to deliver a dedicated obstetric theatre. $1.7M for more renal dialysis and nephrology services. This follows a $40M commitment to build a satellite hospital in Ipswich, along with more than 300 new nurses and 70 additional doctors for our community, and is in addition to our $146M Stage 1 expansion that is already being delivered.

20.01.2022 It costs $7,000 a day to keep our local Ipswich Hospice Care - Queensland open, providing the highest levels of care and compassion for terminally ill people and their families. I’m proud to support this year’s annual Christmas appeal, and I encourage you to do the same. Any support is welcome. A $50 donation covers the cost of a counselling session for a grieving family member.... $100 pays for a home visit by a nurse practitioner. $250 covers the cost of a nurse for one shift. $500 pays for guest catering for a week. 17.01.2022 Our renewable energy target has supported over 44 large-scale renewables projects in Queensland since 2015, with $8.5B in investment and 7,000 construction jobs. With our $500M Queensland Renewable Energy Fund and $145M regional Renewable Energy Zones, we're set to power up renewables to the next level.



17.01.2022 Our hugely successful Containers for Change program has seen more than 3B items recycled across Queensland, including more than 150M locally. More than 700 jobs have been created in Queensland, and almost 200,000 people are registered for the scheme. A new pilot program, Partners for Change, will support our hospitals and businesses in fundraising efforts, and I’m proud to continue to recycle our containers at the busy Goodna depot on Brisbane Road.

After a tough 2020 that saw Queenslanders mark the moment from home during lockdown, we’re embracing a far different Anzac Day this time around. Congratulations to all involved in these very significant commemorations as we acknowledge the service and sacrifice of our defence personnel.

02.01.2022 Congratulations to our local coding champions Ciara Clare and Brandan Ross from Redbank Plains State High School. The duo took out the Years 9 and 10 Python / JavaScript / HTML category in the 2020 Premier’s Coding Challenge, which tasked students with creating an app, website, game or animation to help improve our state’s cybersecurity. A total of 536 Queensland students entered the annual competition, with $10,000 in prizemoney up for grabs.
