23.01.2022 Well done Kathy Hartley on your first race day. Tricky wind and you stuck with it and got it sussed

23.01.2022 Well the AGM has been held. Just about time to start getting yachts ready to go to Lake Lefroy, for state championship late September. Then not long after that our season starts at Lake Wallyungup. I guess land sailing is one of the sports that has a social distancing advantage during this dam virus. So encourage your friends to come along and have a go, Visitors are always welcome. Vic Commodore sandgropers. https://youtu.be/-TZ7r2KevYc

17.01.2022 Hi all, you may have seen on facebook of vehicles damaging Lake Lefroy. Saint Ives has acquired the lease in the area where we sail and have started an air-core drilling program. They have halted the program until after our regatta, I will be having some discussions with St Ives (hopefully) in the next couple of weeks about rehabbing the area after they finish there drilling program. I hope this does not end up being a pit. I will keep you all informed, but for this year everything is OK. Cheers Vic

17.01.2022 Now that things have settled down a bit, it may be time to think about holding our AGM. Any ideas

16.01.2022 Fantastic sailing day - had to run separate races for mini's and Class 5 there was that many yachts out. Great to see a couple of returning members and the newbies had a ball.

16.01.2022 Shelley Sailing Club opening day Sunday 18th 2020, sailed these waters from the age of 6. Thought why not go down and represent Sandgropers. Small club like us and over covert 19 not many invites were sent out. Most members brought down a platter of food and was a great lunch. 3 Council members from the City of Canning came down. Plus 2 members are keen as on land sailing, conflict is they race on Sunday arvos as well. Club is struggling the same for numbers with on the day 7 windrush 14's, 3 Lazer's, 3 Moth's and a 720 racing

07.01.2022 Another AGM over and done with. a special thanks to Kathy Hartley for providing her house for the venue, also to Ewen, Jenni and Barry for putting on a lovely dinner and deserts.

07.01.2022 Great days sailing last week with easterlies playing havoc with the fleet. Some yachts were 'attacked' by a willy willy (google is your friend) creating some interesting maneouvres and spins.
