25.01.2022 Congratulations to Tom Slingsby and crew on team AusSailGP... Brilliant sailing from the Aussies to take the win in all three SailGP races in Cowes. Great to watch all the teams go at it in difficult conditions...Well worth staying up late to watch the racing live and seeing all of the teams punching over 40 knots in their speed machines. We have to rate this one....

25.01.2022 Have a boating or marine product or service you would like us to review please PM us the details and we will endeavour to have it reviewed in the coming weeks.

25.01.2022 So many products to see at this years boat show... so we have decided just to review the ones we think are worthy of atleast 4 stars ...

24.01.2022 Looking forward to tonight’s SailGP in Cowes after yesterday’s abandoned race due high winds. You can check out race updates on the SailGP app or watch live on Fox Sports...Go you Aussies !!!

24.01.2022 On patrol with Marine Rescue Port Kembla...A bit lumpy out here today...

24.01.2022 Just arrived at MYHC for the last race of the Yacht Sales Australia winter series. We are currently sitting in second place for the series and need to bring our A Game on today to have any chance of winning as the breeze is only a light shifty 10knots. We have to beat a Adams 10 (Let Loose) to clinch the title, I will let you know how we after the race !!!

22.01.2022 Got a product you would like reviewed txt me 0417 118 515 #sydneyboatshow

19.01.2022 Last race of the series, pre race report, let you know how we go !!!

18.01.2022 Just gearing up for today’s race, unfortunately light breeze again around 10knots so we will have to work hard to hold onto second place in the series with only 2 races to go, I will update you after the race.

18.01.2022 Hear what Ash from Trailock has to say about their new trailer locking system This is a great product at a amazing price

17.01.2022 Just arrived at MHYC for today’s race. The forecast is for only 10-15knots from the south, I would have liked it a bit stronger as our NorthShore 369 (Renaissance) really gets up and goes at 15-20. Currently running 3rd in the series so we will need to work hard to keep our spot in a strong fleet of 15 yachts with many that are favoured in light winds. Let you know how we go after the race.

17.01.2022 Just downloaded the Free SailGP App. If your interested in keeping up to date on what happening with live race info, follow your team and more. I recommend you have a look...We rate this 3 stars

15.01.2022 SYDNEY INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW REVIEW By Matt Smith Rating This years boat show has left me somewhat deflated. Did I miss something ? I don't think so. ... Sure there where tons of products spread over 2 levels that covered pretty much all things boating. There where number of show specials however you could probably get these prices any day of the week if you asked your local dealer or go to BCF. All the big brands are represented with all their gear nicely polished and on display. The big name marinas had their own stands showcasing various makes and models. Most of the boating categories where covered and plenty of outboards and accessories to check out. However there was really nothing here that blew my mind, instead it left me scratching my head thinking, didn't I see all of this at last years show?. Once again the purpose built marina is stacked with plenty of very impressive pleasure craft with all of the big names well represented with a number of new models on display. But let's face it these are not in reach of the everyday boater, well not me anyway. If you are fortunate enough to have a blank cheque book there's plenty to choose from. I continually overheard the question being asked "how much would something like this cost?" Which reminded me of something my dad would say, "if you have to ask how much anything costs in this category you can't afford it". Stepping aboard these outstanding pleasure craft was a delight with everything imaginable at your finger tips. The technology, designs and craftsmanship is truly to be admired. Yes, this gear is mind blowing but again it's only within reach of a select few. Still more of the same as previous years however it's always nice to dream of what could be if I only had $3m++ cash to spare. All in all I had a good day as I enjoy anything that involves boating and marine. It's worthwhile making the trip to the show for a look around however don't expect to see too much gear that you haven't seen before in previous years. What we liked - The pleasure craft in the marina. - Dreaming of what I could buy if I won the lotto. - The lack of crowds (don't expect the same on the weekend) What we didn't like - Much the same gear as previous years. - Lack of staff available to answer questions at the big brand display stands and even some of the smaller stands. - As always the cost of parking at Darling Harbour. Happy and safe boating Matt Smith Product Review Manager Land & Sea Performance Products

15.01.2022 Taken from my balcony at Shell Cove, Willy Weather showing gusts of 46knots from the west . If you are out on the water I hope you have found a sheltered spot and your enjoying the sun.

13.01.2022 Stayed up to watch the SailGP however today's race was called off due to high winds....I was looking forward to another Aussie win after the Wallabies record 47-26 win over the All Blacks in tonight Bledisloe Cup game in Perth.....

13.01.2022 Was going to post a video after today’s race however the mic was not working in my phone ? Anyway nothing great to report, we came a disappointing 8th place. The breeze was not in our favour at around 8-10knots however we should have done better than 8th, perhaps we just didn’t have our groove going today but that’s sailing....I really hope that there is more breeze next week as we are getting a bit tied of this 10knot stuff. On a more positive note we somehow managed to hold onto to our second place in the series however we dropped a couple of points so we will have get our game together next week to have any chance of winning the series......

11.01.2022 Hear what Steven from Ronstan has to say about their new range. We rate the new Ronstan sailing skiffgear and smock 4/5

08.01.2022 Just checked the results from today’s race. We finished a respectable 6th out of 12 racing in our division today. Not a bad result given the breeze was shifting from north west to north east and maxed out at about 10knots. There was only 10 minutes between first place and us. The other 5 yachts in front where a J24 and Adams 10’s that are really light yachts and are hard to beat in the light breeze today. Given most of them where already ahead of us by the time we reached grotto point on our way to the first mark we did pretty good to not let them beat us by a much bigger margin. Fingers crossed that we can get 15-20knots next Wednesday or if where really lucky maybe 20+ !!

07.01.2022 Logging on for duty @ Marine Rescue Port Kembla NSW

04.01.2022 Ahoy, check out my short video on how to make the most out of pre-loved and used sails. Too many older sails end up in the rubbish bin rather than given the chance of a second life and used by other fellow yachties that may not need or afford brand new racing sails. I hope that you like, share and follow Land & Sea Performance Products. Make sure that you keep an eye out for our next review. Enjoy, from the crew @ Land & Sea

04.01.2022 Hear what Dianne from Kingpin Pegs has to say about their new Bamboo Charcoal Eco Pack We rate the new Eco Pack 4/5

03.01.2022 Hear what Stephen from Austral Props has to say about their Veem system. We rate this system 4/5 . The ability to change the pitch of your prop without actually changing your prop, great idea

02.01.2022 Good close race with a 10-15knot southerly, we sailed well and held off a couple of Adams 10’s to get 3rd place that should take us to 2nd in the series. Hope that there is a bit more breeze next week.
