25.01.2022 This week is also National Recycling Week (9-15 November 2020) and here's a simple activity you can do! Make your own seedling pots by re-using toilet paper rolls. Once your seedlings start to grow, you can pop the pot straight into the ground. Download the instructions and the cute seedling labels from our Just for Kids section so you won’t forget what you planted! We regularly update this section with new activities to download and do at home so check back soon. https://juniorlandcare.org.au/just-for-kids/

22.01.2022 Environmental leaders who inspire young people include David Attenborough (because he loves nature and the planet and also knows the science of what we can do to protect it), also Greta Thunberg (because she is pushing the change we need and it is very inspiring to see someone so young taking this all on) and our very own Costa Georgiadis Official (he works with kids to help them get started learning about looking after nature). Who inspires you? Take the #LandcareYouth Survey open to young people aged 25 or under https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LandcareYouth Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning
22.01.2022 We recently had a fantastic webinar all about #Landcare as a #business a strategic approach, and the recording is now online in case you missed it. Kylie Durant spoke about the evolution of Holbrook Landcare Network from a small group to a professional network representing around 400 members, and how they impact the landscape and the community. Phillip Moran has been with Noosa and District Landcare in Queensland for 23 years, and spoke about how he’s seen it grow from ...a small group with an outside dunny to a professional organisation with a team of 55 paid employees. Thanks to Kylie and Phillip for sharing your stories in what was a fantastic session. Watch it here https://landcareaustralia.org.au/landcare-as-a-business-a-/
