10.01.2022 Today is Threatened Species Day. A day to commemorate the plants, animals and ecosystems at risk of extinction and the amazing work that is being done to help them. This cute little creature is an Eastern Barred Bandicoot (EBB for short) - an endangered species that has been lucky to bounce back from the brink of extinction thanks to team work and people power! Woo! ... Cats and foxes were (and still are) the main problem for these guys - and many other threatened species. But thankfully, back in the late 80s, a diverse recovery team of organisations, community groups and volunteers stepped in to help.
