25.01.2022 This photo was taken today at our McFarlan Reserve site by Steve Tarabaras. A fun fact about this site is that an aboriginal midden was found here last year.

24.01.2022 Today and always, our thoughts are with the people who were affected on Black Saturday and the February 2009 fires. We will not forget those we lost, those that... were injured, and what was lost as a broader community on that day. These have not and nor will be in vain we have learnt and grown from the devastation. We will need courage, discipline and determination to continue to implement the learnings. Many communities and individuals, including CFA members, are still recovering from the tragedy. We empathise with each and everyone for the journey they have traveled. Important lessons were learned. CFA and all of Victorias emergency services are better prepared than ever, with greatly improved abilities to prepare and warn communities and coordinate emergency response. And can you think how Kris answered the question "What sets Land Engineering apart from its competitors....."?

13.01.2022 WARNING: Tomorrow has been declared a Total Fire Ban with temperatures expected to reach into the 40s. Please note on daily diaries and discuss in pre starts the risk of a fire in our work areas and appropriate action if there is one. Also note that on these days we are not to turn water off. Under no circumstances are you to use plant or equipment that can emit sparks such as welding, cutting, grinding or gas cutting. Do not use a chain saw, vehicle or other non-stationary engines so that it is in contact with any crop, stubble, weeds, undergrowth or other vegetation, this also includes any machinery that does not have a spark arrester, if in doubt ask your Team Leader. Keep vigilant, hydrated and remember your PPE (long and long), sun shade on your hard hats and sun protection. Above all please stay safe!
