23.01.2022 More research.....Finland - they have huge passenger trains and multi lingual announcements. Trains leave for destinations North and East to St Petersburg.

18.01.2022 A breakthrough day today with final sections fixed into the floors now removed. Measuring up now for the kitchens and cupboards. Our dedicated team seen here at work.

18.01.2022 Today we took delivery of our first linen products that will adorn our carriages. Thank you to Jane Stockel Designs for the advice and high quality finish. These headrests, pillow cases and hand towels will look great.

17.01.2022 Lander Station has found its new home. Sunshine Coast hinterland. Preparations have already begun with infrastructure and services booked in to be installed. Carriage placement is planned for early 2019.

17.01.2022 Great sunrise at Lander HQ today. Back to do more renovations, now ready for the electrician and air conditioning.

09.01.2022 Lander Station is pleased to see former "Sunland" Sleeper carriage 1472 in place ready for renovation. Along with sister carriage 1489, already in place, work will begin in the coming months.

08.01.2022 At last some substantial work on the interior has started. We are presently removing 3 walls to give the electrician access for new wiring. The humid weather does not make it easy.

07.01.2022 Well after a lot of effort by the Lander Team the carriages are in place and ready for restoration.

07.01.2022 Update - a location for Lander Station has been found. Planning is now underway to relocate the carriages and permissions for the new Station Building. Stay tuned.

Queenslandrail Traveltrain Sunlander arrives in Cairns under the motive power of Queensland Railways 1250 class #1260. At journeys end in the beautiful tropics resplendent in the iconic Blue Livery. Sadly, a scene never to be repeated since the retirement of the beloved service in 2015. The service lives on in the many M type carriages that were preserved, disposed and the memories of those who this train touched in its 60 years of operation. #sunlander #qldrailways #losttrainsofqld #cairns

04.01.2022 These Antimacassers are going to be for our family sitting area on our second carriage 1472. They are based on the logo used on the final revenue services of the Sunlander in 2014. We appreciate the time Kentish took to re create the logo.

04.01.2022 We have been spending the last few weeks checking bed and breakfast facilities, all in the name of research. We stayed at the amazing Old Station in Yorkshire England. Also Fort William in Scotland as well as checking the infrastructure in France. Here are some images from our research files;
