25.01.2022 Let's try to think more about the impact we have on the landscape around us- our gardens are connected to each other and to our soil, waterways and air, remember! http://www.treehugger.com//homemade-herbicide-kill-weeds-w
24.01.2022 Plan progressing...
23.01.2022 Lovely winter sun in my garden
23.01.2022 Guest speaker for Swan River Trust with the super fun Great Gardens Team at the Autumn River Festival. It was fun- but my 3rd job for the week so I'm now going home to have a weekend somehow!
22.01.2022 A very exciting thing happened today, I met a client and have a fantastic opportunity to fix a BIG space which has a lot of very daggy Diosmas and Plane trees growing in it. It's a huge job for me, so wish me luck...I have a bit of work to do now, writing up a brief for them and presenting it to their Board (Powerpoints, yippee!) but if I get it, well, it will really put LandEscapes on the map! And a BIG thank you to Ms Carolyn Ryder for giving me the opportunity!
22.01.2022 Check out the fabulous team at the Sustainable Home and Garden Masterclass we ran at Cockburn a few weeks ago! I had a lot of fun and hope I helped some folks with their garden masterpieces! (Enjoy me nodding and not saying much at the end! ha ha!). If you want more info on a Masterclass like this go and visit the link at the end! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXTzyQLC1mo
21.01.2022 They say good things are worth waiting for- I'm still looking forward to providing a 15 minute presentation to the ST John of God Hospital Murdoch Board for re-designing all of their gardens. It's a big job, but I'm up for it!- Stand by...!
21.01.2022 Happy post for the gardeners today. It's a good time to start thinking about your planting for the year- while the soil is still warm and before the rains tick in... But don't forget to water still!
19.01.2022 So everyone- my website is FINALLY up and running! Please visit and I'll post something on my blog soon! Go to: www.landescapes.net.au Hurrah!
19.01.2022 Gorgeous little Hemiandra pungens- snake bush - at a revege site where I'm working. Awesome ground cover which will stop people from walking on it as it's rather prickly! It also comes in white and purple flowers
19.01.2022 It's time to plant your pink and white everlastings ! - remember they don't like mulch so plant over the top of the mulch and keep the chooks away! My self seeded ones just all got eaten on the weekend by the pesky chooks. Who are now banned from coming outside their run for at least a month! :(
16.01.2022 Hey all- sorry about the lack of blogs on the website-! As usual with new techy things I am not great, so bear with me and hopefully will the blog up and running soon! Am thrilled about the Murdoch job, and really hope it helps me get more opportunities to talk to people about good garden practice and beautiful sustainable garden design. Please pass the link for the website on if you get a chance! it is:www.landescapes.net.au. Many thanks! Jackie
15.01.2022 Tonight I did my first ever official gif with the lovely Sean for The Forever Project. It was so exciting and fun and I can't wait to do another one next week! Thanks for all the lovely feedback about it too! http://theforeverproject.com.au/our-events.aspx
12.01.2022 This is a great, insightful article. Trees are not in themselves, dangerous things. We need trees for air, for good soil, for shade and shelter. Kids also need them for play. And I think most of the adults I know need them for play too! We all need to recognise we are linked to the environment, whether we like the idea of that or not. http://www.treehugger.com//trees-dont-need-warning-labels-
11.01.2022 As the sun goes down it's time to reflect on my presentation to St. John of God today - it was great! All about good design and strong partnerships to create beautiful places. Here's hoping I get it!

08.01.2022 So lovely when you see a plan in your head become a reality. Murdoch hospital... Just wish until it all grows!
08.01.2022 Wow well hopefully that's the break in the season- fantastic rain at my place. I do love how the desert species hold the water in little globules- for an 'unrainy' day perhaps?!
04.01.2022 I GOT IT. I am the new OFFICIAL Landscape Designer for Murdoch St John of God Hospital. (!) If you live near there, take a note of how it looks now, because we are going to make it such a gorgeous sustainable space, with areas for patients to sit in serenity and quiet joy, and areas which make you want to gasp with delight. Thank you all for the wishes of luck and to Carolyn Ryder and Ryan Connor. WATCH THIS SPACE. That whole Hospital precinct, it's going to look divine once I get to work on it ! SO EXCITING!
02.01.2022 Winter sun in the garden.
