21.01.2022 Currently a beautiful 1.9 in Port Pirie.... Luckily the rest of the weekend in the region will be beautiful weather with no rain! You know what that means... Time for gardening! If you just don't have the time to tackle the crazy forest of marshmellow in your background right now - never fear! Give Greg a call on 0408 842 072 and he will happily take care of the problem for you! Give him a call today

19.01.2022 Spring has finally sprung, the grass is growing like crazy and fire ban season is around the corner! If your grass/weeds are out of control, and before the council issues notices, give Greg a call on 0408 842 072.

11.01.2022 What a crazy week we have had, weather wise! Mother Nature certainly had a few words to say. You will start noticing your weeds miraculously appear overnight (or so it will seem), so why not get a head start on them before they take over your yard? Give Greg a call on 0408842072 today for advice or to organise an appointment :)

03.01.2022 After the recent rains in the region, it is timely to remind everyone to be on the lookout for Caltrop (Tribulus terrestris) again. Caltrop has seeds that remain dormant in the soil for about four to five years. They germinate after summer rain and grow rapidly. They flower and form new burrs very quickly. The stems of caltrop are long, wiry, lie prostrate on the ground and are covered with fine hairs, and radiate from a central taproot. The leaves consist of several leaflets... arranged opposite each other on the stems and are fern-like and greyish-green. The flowers are small, less than 1cm in diameter, and yellow with five petals. Wedge-shaped burrs are formed in clusters of five, each with four or more long sharp spines. For control in the domestic situation, small numbers of plants can be eliminated by hand pulling and placed in a bag and disposed of in a bin. Use a rubber thong to pick up any burrs that may be left behind. If you have a larger infestation, spraying with glyposate to the rate on the bottle will be effective. Please read the safety directions. To help prevent spread of the weed, tyres and footwear should be cleaned to remove burrs. If you need assistance with control, please give us a ring! t See more
