25.01.2022 NARACOORTE LAMB SALE Light weight lambs generated strong interest with restockers actively seeking supply, they purchased light Merinos from $60 to $88 and crossbreds from $75 to $132/head. An annual offering of first cross lambs received strong competition from restockers, with the ewe section ranging from $126 to $170, with the trade operating on light weights from $106 to $136/head. Light weight trade 2 and 3 score types ranged from $140 to $170, with trade weight lambs in demand from the buying group, as they averaged around the 825c/kg cwt area to make from $150 to $200/head. Heavy lambs were also a sought after item, they ranged from $188 to $218 with the extra heavy selection ranging from $223 to a market high of $257/head. Seeya in the yards!

23.01.2022 DUBLIN SHEEP AND LAMB SALE While competition was fair to good, prices followed the downward trend of earlier interstate markets with most prices back by from $10 to $20/head and more in places. Extremely light young lambs to restockers ranged from $30 to $96, while trade sales ranged from $68 to $104/head. Light young lambs were back by $10 as they ranged from $96 to $128, with the heavier lambs back by up to $20 as they ranged from $110 to $174, with the very few extreme he...avy weights also back by $10 to $25 as they ranged from $148, to a sale top of $210/head. Very few older lambs came forward and these also eased in price by $10 to $15, to see the extreme heavy weights ranging from $180 to $197/head. Hoggets were again well supplied with restockers active from $30 to $72, with trade sales made from a low of $90 for bare shorn types, to a high of $162/head for full wool types. All weights and grades of mutton were on offer in an extremely mixed quality offering and competition from the trade was indifferent, as prices here also followed the eastern states easing trend to see light mutton back by from $10 to $15, with heavy weights losing $15 to $25/head and more in places. Light ewes ranged from a low of $15 to $60, medium weights traded from $48 to $80, with extreme heavy weights ranging from $116, to a top of $160/head. Very few wethers were on offer with lighter weights ranging from $55 to $70 and heavier weights trading from $110 to $158/head. Rams generally sold from a low of $50 to a section top of $152/head.
