23.01.2022 Long Tan/Vietnam Veterans Day on the 18th of August was observed in Landsborough at the Memorial Wall. The names of those killed in the Battle of Long Tan were read from the Regimental Book. The Royal Australian Regiment Prayer was recited, the Last Post played and the flag was lowered to half mast. Each year at a stated period, the past members of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Masonic Lodge conduct a unique and special Vacant Chair Ceremony of Remembrance. The Ceremonial Team, by invitation, has travelled Victoria conducting this special service. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions the Ceremonial Team is in recess. 15.01.2022 Today we remember those who served during the Boer War which concluded in 1902 with the the signing of the Peace Treaty of Vereeniging. Boer War Day commemorate...s the first war in which Australia fought as a nation. In 1899 NSW Lancers were the first to join in this war followed by all of the other colonies and after Federation in 1901 Australian units. The Boer War was also the first war in which Australians also fought alongside New Zealanders. We pay tribute to the memory of the 23,000 Australian men and women who served and the 1,000 that paid the supreme sacrifice to defend our freedom. #lestweforget See more

13.01.2022 Tomorrow is ANZAC Day and as we’re in isolation we will have a service at the Memorial Garden at 5.55 am and stream it live through this page. If you wish to pay your respects we will leave sprigs of rosemary at the Memorial Garden to lay at the wall any time you wish. Lest We Forget
