22.01.2022 HQ Plantations is conducting a hazard reduction burn around the area of Fraser road Beerwah this smoke is affecting the landsborough and Mt Mellum areas. Smoke may affect residents and motorists in the area. Residents should close their doors and windows and keep medication close by if suffering from a respiratory condition. Motorists should use caution and drive to conditions.
21.01.2022 Good Evening everyone. In conjunction with the Landsborough Rural fire service, we will be conducting a series of controlled undergrowth burns to a large porti...on of the campsite beginning in the school holidays (dates are dependant on weather). As we have a large area to burn with a substantial fire load, there will be multiple burns on different days. For all updates on dates please keep an eye on our Facebook page. The areas to be burnt is roughly highlighted in the image below - remember the entire area will be burnt in sections across different days. KEEP IN MIND - OUR CAMPSITE IS PRIVATE PROPERTY. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO BE ONSITE, YOU ARE TRESPASSING AND YOU WILL BE PROSECUTED!

Today, we stop on the 10th hour on the 10th day of the 10th month to honour and pay tribute to our fallen firefighters, as well as their families, friends and colleagues. We are forever grateful for the sacrifice they made to protect others.
15.01.2022 SMOKE ALERT Hey Caloundra West. A bushfire near the aerodrome is producing smoke near Caloundra Road, Pathfinder Drive and Pelican Waters Boulevard. No property is under threat and crews are on scene. Hazy conditions are likely to continue into the morning. Take care on the roads!
11.01.2022 Ever wondered how fast a grass fire can move? With the @Bureau of Meteorology predicting a warm and wet spring there is likely to be good grass and crop growth across NSW. With this growth will come the increased risk of grass fires. Maintain your property, be prepared and have a plan.
11.01.2022 Attention all: With a break in the weather and volunteers available, the first control burn will begin this afternoon. Friday 17th July. ... The burn will be done on approx. 1/3 of the bush area of rocky creek campsite. There will be a substantial smoke hazard today and lingering smoke tomorrow. Please contact us if you have any concerns. This burn is being conducted in conjunction with the Landsborough Rural Fire Service. The burn area will be constantly monitored.
