19.01.2022 WOMEN’S COME & TRY DAY Langhorne Creek Football Club wish to advise the postponement of the highly anticipated Come try LCFC Women’s Footy Day scheduled for this Sunday November 22nd. This decision comes as a directive received from SANFL today. That due to the current COVID outbreak in South Australia, effective from midnight tonight all community sport training and fixtures have been cancelled. This includes any promotional programs (ie: come & try sessions, registrat...ion days) currently planned by Community Leagues and Clubs. It is anticipated that these measures will be in place for at least the next two weeks. We will notify of future plans in due course Secretary LCFC Beck Burgess

17.01.2022 WOMENS FOOTY UPDATE Come & Try day 2.0 - POSTPONED (... again) Despite the clubs best efforts to re -organise another come try day for women's footy this Sunday, we unfortunately need to yet again cancel due to the current restrictions in place (just like the rest of 2020, we can thank COVID for that!) ... SANFL have recommended no 'come try days' and after discussion with the GSFL and competing clubs, it is best to postpone our day until early 2021 - This will allow more lead time to really give the day and women's footy at Langhorne Creek Football Club the justice it deserves. The working group of the Women's LCFC are still very committed to our come try day and we thank both the GSFL and clubs for their support and understanding. In the mean time should you be interested in either playing or volunteering as a support role for women's footy contact: : [email protected] #hawknation

07.01.2022 Season 2020, what a ride It was the season that almost wasn’t; a season full of so much uncertainty; a season with so many challenges; but above all, a season with so much joy and success. Despite trying times, the LCFC club and community rose above all adversity and came out stronger. Our passionate members, supporters, players and volunteers are the reason we are able to do what we love - your commitment to LCFC is something special and the culture at our club is at an all time high as a result. Football cannot happen without your support week in and week out, so we thank YOU for everything. Next, a BIG Thankyou to all our wonderful sponsors!! Despite the individual challenges that they all faced due to the pandemic, they were still the first ones to jump on and support our great club. So we thank YOU and look forward to continuing our great relationships next year!! Finally, a huge thankyou to Ben Moore, Rob Lyon, Beck Burgess, Shannon Granger and the rest of the committee of the Langhorne Creek Football Club, with whom made this year possible. 05.01.2022 2021 COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT The LCFC is very excited to announce the appointment of our reserves coach for season 2021 - Shane Bown Shane joined the Langhorne Creek Football club as a senior colt in 2007, playing in seasons 07/08.... He went on to play B Grade for the Hawks in 2009 and was a regular and consistent member of the team before a serious knee injury in 2013 put him out for the remainder of ‘13 and the entire 2014 season. Shaneo made his return to Hawk Park in 2015, but unfortunately a second serious knee injury saw him miss another 2 years of footy. Following a decent break from footy, Bowny made his long awaited comeback in 2018 - BUT late in the season he suffered a third serious knee injury, leaving him stranded on 99 games for the club (What a journey!) Since then, Bowny has remained a huge part of our great club and has been involved as an assistant coach of both the B Grade and the Mini Colts in recent years. We are stoked to have you on board Bowny and look forward to you and the boys continuing the success of the mighty Magoos in season 2021 #hawknation
