25.01.2022 The Victorian Venturer Council is excited to officially announce the Venturers Victoria Minecraft server! We have been working hard to get this right so that ev...eryone can enjoy it! This is a great chance to get together with your unit for a bit of fun, or just with a bunch of friends! For those not fully understanding of the in's and out's of Minecraft: Here is how to access the server: - Start your Minecraft Java Edition and click on link on "Multiplayer" - Click on "Add Server"and in the Server Name add: Venturers Victoria - In the "Server Address" field enter minecraft.vicventurers.com.au and click done Please remember to be kind to fellow venturers on the server and avoid griefing and stealing etc. There will be admins moderating the server - you can message them for help :) Also, A HUGE thanks to Phill Britt and his team for setting this server up for the state to use :)

16.01.2022 Disappointed Hoadley Hide isn't running this year? Getting bored at home? Don’t worry - we’ve got you covered! Today Hoadley Hide is launching Hoadley Hide @ H...ome - a Virtual VA Initiative Course. Each weekend for the next 4 weeks, Venturers will be able to register to take part in Hoadley Hide @ Home for that weekend. On the Friday night, we’ll send you all the challenges you’ll need to complete. At the end of the weekend, you’ll submit your completed challenges, and we’ll assess your completion, then send you a certificate and a Hoadley Hide Big 5 badge. You’ll also be able to share your efforts on social media, using the hashtag #HoadleyHideAtHome Challenges will include many of the things Hoadley Hide normally has: Navigation, Construction, Problem Solving, Cooking, and even Walking, all while we ensure we uphold our duty to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. Best of all, the Victorian Venturer Council has endorsed this as a valid VA Initiative Course, so you’ll also be able to use it as part of your Queen’s Scout! 14.01.2022 The Victorian Venturer Council is very excited to announce that applications have opened and that we are now looking for new and enthusiastic Venturers to join ...our team. This is a rare and exciting leadership opportunity that provides the ability for Venturers to learn, develop and embrace skills such as leadership and teamwork, as well as providing many new experiences. Interested Venturers will need to complete an online application form, as well as provide a letter of endorsement from their Unit Council, and a referee (someone who has worked with them in Scouting, or in another leadership capacity).
