25.01.2022 Today we picked our first cherries and tomorrow we open our gate for SHED SALES ONLY at this stage. U-PICK will open when there are enough ripe cherries to go around. Things look a little different, but we’re so grateful to be able to open and to welcome you all in. We do have regulations to follow such as masks are mandatory, there’s a visitors book to sign and of course hand sanitiser and social distancing rules apply. We have done our best to mark it all out, as c...learly as possible but please let us know if there is anything you are concerned about. We understand this year has been really difficult for many and beliefs vary and people are passionate, but please remember we are only doing what is required to open, so relax and leave any political opinions at the gate. Our only motivation is to provide beautiful fresh cherries to you, and for you to be able to visit some wide open & relaxed space. So be kind, remember those serving you are only doing what’s been asked of them and enjoy your visit. We look forward to seeing you soon. See more

24.01.2022 Well, I've lost my cherry 'wingman' for a little while and my amazing support, Alannah. Thanks to an angry appendix (with very poor timing!) she went into surgery last night. Love you my daughter and we'll all miss you in the shed! Wishing you a speedy recovery and see you back ready for the Christmas rush. Love you

23.01.2022 Hey guys, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are gearing up for a brilliant 2020 We closed early today as we sold out of ripe fruit. Well be closed tomorrow due to the heat but then OPEN AGAIN on TUESDAY with some beautiful Sweet Georgia Our Gold Rich are also nearly there, finally! And we hope to be picking them ready for Tuesday for the new year! They look amazing, so Im sure once tree ripened theyll taste it too!

20.01.2022 U-Pick For those asking....especially those messaging me, that they have family visiting from overseas and really want to come. We will welcome you into the Orchard today, however we have had a lot of rain which means any larger fruit has splits (tastes lovely eaten from the tree - but not recommended to take home or overseas) - the medium and small cherries are ok. It will be half price entry and cherries, and I recommend you come and visit us in the shed to sample the fruit, to see what you would be picking and to ensure you would be happy to go in.

13.01.2022 My favourite part of cherry season....all the familiar faces coming back to visit (even in these rainy trying weeks). Love hearing the kids laughing, having fun.....and developing new facial cremes apparently . Hope cherries are as good for the skin as they are for our tummies

13.01.2022 Seems its time for my sad post This is a photo of my beautiful but bare apricot trees. To all my customers inquiring about Apricots, unfortunately I won't have any available this season. Back in August, when my trees were in full blossom we had a severe frost. I lost all the blossom, therefore all the fruit we would have had. I give my (and mother natures!) sincere apologies for any disappointment and hope next year, after their 'holiday' my trees produce, for you all, the best crop of sweetest apricots ever!

12.01.2022 Our growing fruit So nice (and relieving!) to see such a beautiful crop of apricots on this year, after losing the lot to frost last year! The cherries looking lovely as always . 12.01.2022 Packing the beautiful Merchant this morning So, I hope you have all managed to stay dry this week! As you probably know we have had over 110ml of rain, which is always really hard to navigate as a cherry farmer! We are not going to open U-Pick today as the farm is just too wet, hopefully open tomorrow. We have had rain splitting in the ripe cherries, but there are still great cherries and they still taste amazing....and as always we will work hard to guarantee the cherries we pack are as perfect as possible

12.01.2022 Well....it's getting close now . My first taste of cherries for the season . A yummy lunch! Just a few more days of ripening and we should have enough to open for the season. I'll keep you posted on the opening day, and hope to see you all soon

I think, to varying extents, everyone in Victoria, NSW and beyond is being physically and/or emotionally impacted by these fires. I am sending as much love as I can muster to you all. Continue to donate (no matter how small - it all helps) and continue to put your hands up to help. You will always make a difference in peoples (or animals!) lives...whether youre aware of it or not. 06.01.2022 My extraordinary team. Picking until head torches were needed, packed after that - then back packing again at 4am....and still going. I am so grateful to them all! We have been so overwhelmed with the demand for big fruit and sold out early both Friday and Saturday BUT we have worked our butts off to have a nice big bench full again for today, and will do the same for tomorrow. My advice, if its not ordered come early! A special thanks to a good friend and fellow cherry farmer for lending me a couple of his pickers to keep my bench full. A big ask during this crazy week....I owe you Pete Chapman, thank you!

05.01.2022 Hey guys Today we sold out of cherries, and so have decided to give the trees a little break tomorrow before picking again on Thursday. We'll be closed tomorrow and re-open Thursday afternoon. The good news....the magnificent Samba will be getting picked later this week, ready for the weekend! We'll also have plenty of 100% pure, healthy cherry juice!

05.01.2022 It is with profound sadness that I write to let you know the mother of Lanidale Orchard, my stepmother and my friend passed peacefully at home, last night 20th November, surrounded by her adoring family after a long and brave battle. Margos wisdom, her love of people, of culture, of language, laughs and cherries created this little orchard 20 years ago. Today her wisdom, guidance and love will be so incredibly missed. Vale ~ Margo Carole Honeyman, we will love you forever
