13.01.2022 PROJECT WIN - Carmichael Rail Project Lantrak has been awarded the Major Haulage Contract for the rail alignment works with BMD Constructions for the Western half of the rail corridor at the Carmichael Coal Mine. The scope of works requires the bulk movement of over 4 million cubic meters of earthen material to be transported from borrow pits to sections of the rail alignment. At this stage programming suggests that at the peak period of the project there will be a resourcing... need in excess of 100 trucks in various combinations. Lantrak are seeking expression of interest from subcontractors with the following combinations who are interested in working on this project. -Double Road Trains (Side Tipper) -A-B Triple Road Trains (Side Tipper) -Triple Road Trains (Side Tipper) -Quad Road Trains (Side Tipper) Lantrak are committed to providing local jobs and local businesses opportunities throughout the supply chain, with preferential sourcing to Regional Queensland as defined below: Burdekin Shire Council; Central Highlands Regional Council; Charters Towers Regional Council; Gladstone Regional Council; Isaac Regional Council; Livingstone Regional Council; Mackay Regional Council; Rockhampton Regional Council; Townsville Regional Council; and Whitsunday Regional Council.
