22.01.2022 Congratulations to our teachers who have completed the Community Language Teaching Foundations and Community Language School Leadership and Management Program. We are so proud and appreciative of you for taking the time to develop these skills to provide a wonderful experience for our students. Lao Oz Language & Culture School takes place on Saturday mornings 9.30am-12.30pm during the school term. This year classes commence on Saturday 8 February 2021. 20.01.2022 Lao-Oz Lao Language and Culture Class Term 1 commences next Saturday 6 February 2021 from 9.30-12.30pm. All students from Kindergarten to Year 12 are welcome. We are honoured that our community Language School is part of Department Of Education Community Language Program so we can continue to share our language and culture. Our senior students are formatting sentences whilst discussing what they did during school holidays and our junior students are practicing their name writing. Classes are Saturday 9.30-12.30 pm during the school term at Busby West Primary School. ... If you would like your kids to attend our Lao School please contact us through messenger. We have NO TERMS FEES, only a $60 registration fee which covers uniform, school satchel and school supplies.

06.01.2022 Lao Oz conducted a trial iPhone class for Lao seniors in Sydney, from 19 October 2020 for 4 weeks. Our main objective for running this course is to train our seniors in the community to best use their iPhone. By being able to use the useful features of iPhone such as setting up their language and font size, using social media, editing their photos and taking video, the students will be able to communicate better and to be close to their family members during the pandemic and minimise their loneliness. The class was conducted with Covid safe plan.

04.01.2022 Hi guys I would like to forward a msg to u ... Good morning, My name is Mylene and I'm from the LOTE agency, multicultural communications agency based in Melbourne. We are currently running a series of research sessions on COVID-19 with people from various multicultural groups. This project is run on behalf of the Department of Health. I was wondering if you know anyone who would like to participate in a 90 minute zoom video call interview. They will receive an $80 Coles... voucher for time. In total I am looking for 7 people from the Lao-Australian community. The interview is asking people about COVID-19, about safe practises, how they've handled the pandemic and thoughts and feedback they'd like to pass on to the Australian Government. 02.01.2022 Two Lao Oz Board members have recently returned from a 10 day visit to Laos and saw first hand the huge impact the threat of coronavirus is having on the tourism industry there as reported by the Laotian Times. According to our board members the Lao Government were taking active steps to combat the virus, including health checks of incoming passengers at airports.
