23.01.2022 All this talk of Cape York closing, and so many of you changing your plans. Guys there is so much more to see and do than just getting that photo at the tip. And from what I hear you might actually see be able to. I highly recommend if are considered changing your plans, please don't.... Cape York is amazing, Weipa is beautiful, Seisia is the best camping location to have a fire at night while you fish and play spotto with croc eyes. The old telegraph track is the best it gets... Oh guys the list goes on, our friends out at the temple bunkers have awesome adventures. Chilli beach is just mind blowing. And remember these guys got hit hard last year with closing off because of covid and another year of no one going up will be tough. Plus you might see the new rig and caravan up there. 16.01.2022 How did i manage to create my very own Peter Pan. Koby is fearless, courageous, and definitely the most adventurous little boy, i could ever imagined to have raised. He is always making my heart skip a beat. He lives in his own bubble of innocent and i just ADMIRE him for it. ... Our son struggles with Dyslexia, Dysgraphia and Dyspraxia. I had a meeting with his teacher last week and she informed that even though he has these challenges he is so willing to give it a go and try his very hardest. But most of all he is the most kindest little boy in her class. I normally walk away from these meeting heart broken, understanding his struggles he faces in life but this meeting i walked away so proud of him. 14.01.2022 Oh they grow so quick. This is Paityn back in 2013 on a trip up to Point Samson. Today I just really wanted to make light on some photos I have recently seen of people exploring all these amazing places Australia has to offer. It makes our heart full to see that people are finally getting out there and enjoying the outback, but what we don't like to see is people taking advantage of these places. I have seen photos of traveller's leaving fires still going after a night campin...g, I have seen photos of campers leaving bags of rubbish in the bush for birds to attack and animal to eat, I have seen campers leave tents on the beaches that get washed out to see and fill our ocean with more rubbish it doesn't need. We are so concerned that everyone will loose this privilege of having beautiful national parks to camp at and pristine beaches to explore and all because you where to selfish to Care for our country and the local communities you visit. 13.01.2022 2 weeks short of 24 months of breastfeed. If you would have told me at the start we would have made it this far i would have laughed. Lanhi was 4 weeks early and didn't take to the boob when she was born, she was put in a humi crib and i had to feed her with a syringe for the first week. It was a shock for me because both Paityn and Koby latched straight away. ... Then for the first 4 weeks of being home I had nurse's coming to our house daily to check her weight gain telling me to give her a bottle of formula or else she would have to go back to hospital because she wasn't gaining the "desired" weight... but i followed my motherly gut intuition it was so hard but every hour on the hour I'd set my alarm and feed her, i ate boobie biscuits, had porridge every morning, i drunk every tea under the sun to stimulate my milk. I was exhausting and mentally I was a big mess but we did it by 8 weeks Lahni was a thriving little newborn. Then I had a issue with a massive amount over supply, which I had with Paityn and Koby but it was a little different this time because we where living on the road, i didn't have my GP that I could see if I got mastitis, so i ended up with anxiety everytime we would leave a town because Murphy's law you know i got it every single time i didn't have a doctor close by... So many nights Dereck would boil me a hot flannel and i would sit there shivering with a fever in pain massaging the lumps out while Lahni would feed... Then when she started teething we definitely had a few biting episodes ... but she quickly learnt if she bites she doesn't get the boobie. Then covid hit just as i was about to wean, well we all know the power of breastmilk so I definitely wasn't giving it up then. So here i sit at 4am in the morning while dereck is trying to settle her in the other room, writing this post a tear falls down my cheek with a huge sense of guilt because I don't think Lahni is 100% ready to give it up. But i know i am, I feel selfish but its time for this mummy to give herself some love. Well if you made it this far thank you for reading my post. This is a popular swim spot for most that tackle the track but remember you are in croc country so be very croc wise. This isnt our photo we seen it on the cape Facebook page and it is very real and recent, we know some of you are heading up the cape about now and just wanted to make you aware.

10.01.2022 The washing can wait, the floors can get tonight, dinner can be simple, i don't need to change the sheets today, who cares about the bills and those 10 emails waiting for me to reply ill get to eventually. But what I'm going to do right now is hold this little baby a little longer feeding her soul with love. I've really notice in the last week since I've given up breastfeeding she is saying no a lot and disagreeing with everything I say, but I know this is because she is feel...ing like I am doing it to her. I know this faze will pass and the time they are little is so short so when i get moments like this I stop and really take them.

05.01.2022 After school we drove past some croc country water, (we are currently in Perth, so no wild crocodiles in the Swan river) and the kids mentioned how much they are missing spotting wild crocodiles like this. For so long i was always on alert saying to the kids (and Dereck,) "no swimming in that water" and don't get to close to the egde you can't see him but he can see you" but it was so much fun and I would do anything to be living in the wild with my little tribe ATM. Who loves croc country as much as us?

04.01.2022 Today was Paityn and Koby's first day back at school after being home schooled for the last 16 months. I struggled so much more than they did. All day I worried they would be alone and scared, missing me But when I picked them up with a huge smile from ear to ear, they both where so eger to tell me about their day so much, I had to tell them to take a breath .... Its was an instant relief. We have decided to put the kids back in school for the time being, as we really noticed with traveling at a hult, unable to be out exploring, they needed to be around other kids and get more stimulation than I could offer them. #backtoschool #homeschooling #mumswithhustle #changes #happykids
