23.01.2022 Emily and Katie are both accomplished musicians and vocalists with a number of high caliber performances under their belts both locally and internationally. They have been singing together for several years. They attended the same high school where they performed at many events both in school and outside, including Deakin University graduation ceremonies. Since graduating high school, they have continued to perform in a myriad of different genres, performing both separately and together at many events including Chilwell Primary’s trivia night.

23.01.2022 Our next lot of performers are Dance Move Create (DMC)!! https://www.facebook.com/DANCEMOVECREATE/ Dance Move Create, Lara's newest dance school, will be bringing new and exciting dances in the three songs they are bringing to us, lead by Lais Kelly (Creative Director of DMC and Principal Teacher).

22.01.2022 Next in our spotlight is Tahlia Flagg! Tahlia has been singing since the age of 7 and is a local. Having sung in the choir in previous years, this is the first time she will take to center stage to sing a duet at the Carols.

21.01.2022 With the Lara Carols only a few days away, let's check out some of our amazing performers for the event! First up, Shandelle Cooke! Shandelle Cooke has been singing professionally for many years.... She has entertained audiences all around the world. From Musical theatre to her several cover and jazz bands, she is a versatile performer of many styles and genres. She has sung on many albums and performed her own cabaret shows. She works at Piano Bar, Geelong, teaches singing and is also a fitness trainer.

20.01.2022 And even more exciting performances from these guys too!! PETER HARBINSON Peter has been singing on stage since the age of eight. ... Part of his training in Music Theatre was with GSODA in the late 60’s and early 70’s. He has completed a Bachelor of Education in Music from Melbourne University and has taught piano and voice. Having performed in many theatres and on television and radio around the country and overseas, Peter also sang for 13 years with the Victoria State Opera and Australian Opera Companies. Peter has retired, and now concentrates on free performances for charity. HARRY BUTCHER Harry has been performing from an early age and at various venues around Geelong. His roles have included John in Peter Pan with GSODA 2015, Gomez in the Addams Family at Geelong Grammar 2017 and more recently Billy Flynn in Chicago at Geelong Grammar in 2019. Harry has just completed VCE at Geelong Grammar and is taking a Gap year working with King’s Choir in Cambridge during 2020. We wish him every success but will miss his talents next year. CHRYSTAL EVANS Chrystal has a lovely soprano voice that is wonderfully suited to the selection that she is singing today. Chrystal would call her musical taste eclectic. She is a passionate vocalist and music lover who is equally fond of a 90’s ballad, live rock gigs and musical/theatre productions. We are delighted to welcome Chrystal back to the stage after a short break for the birth of her first child., Elijah. JEANETTE BENCE Jeanette has been singing for as long as she can remember, answering the question at the age of four, ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’ with, a singer. Performing in a number of amateur musicals, Jeanette achieved an advanced certificate in Music Performance studying Jazz, Popular and Classical music. A seasoned soloist, she has had the privilege of singing at numerous weddings and special events and coordinates the Lara Carols and the Lara Community Choir.

12.01.2022 Another performer for tomorrow night is Billy Manu! Originally from the Solomon Islands, 30 years old, currently worked at MC HERD, love playing all sorts of sports, Footy, soccer, basketball, been involved in singing since I was a kid at Sunday school, and now currently worship leading at Lara life way Christian church.

07.01.2022 The count down is on to the Lara Carols this Sunday! Gates open at 6.30pm so come and enjoy the Live Nativity, entertainment by Callum Branch and enjoy the food from Lions Sausage Sizzle, Purely Delish, Timboon Ice Cream and City to Surf Coffee before the Carols start at 8.00pm. We can't wait to welcome you .

04.01.2022 Next up we have Chloe Edwards! Chloe Edwards is a Geelong-based performer and acting teacher. With a recent musical theatre degree under her belt, she is currently working on local performance projects and developing some of her own work, whilst also teaching youth acting classes on weeknights. Christmas is by far her favorite time of year, and she is so thrilled to be singing a few songs at this year's Lara Carols.
