13.01.2022 Thank you to Janet and Alan Clayton from Cheeselinks for their generous donation of a new fridge for the Licola Wilderness Village. Janet was awarded a certificate of appreciation for the fridge on a weekend visit to the Licola camp when she accompanied Lions Bryan Walker, Jo Gilfillan, Tom Gilfillan and Lions lady Sharon Walker. What a beautiful and serene place to visit that is open to families, schools, clubs etc. https://www.licola.org.au/

11.01.2022 ***Lap The Map*** for Diabetes Lions Club of Lara Have fun, keep healthy and help a great cause. If you take walks or like to runcan you please help us with Lions National goal to Lap the Map..ie accumulate enough kms to circumnavigate Australia 25,760km. Last year (inaugural) we managed 14,700kmsso we would obviously like to beat that. All you have to do is record your walking/running distances from now until Saturday 21st November and send them to us. You can let us kn...ow any time of your progress or just at the end date. If you can’t get exact km’s your closest guess is fine. Please advise your interest in the comments section and we will contact you. For your support you will receive a certificate in appreciation of your efforts. Next year we hope to create specific fun events when hopefully restrictions ease even more. National Diabetes Awareness day is Saturday 14th November If you would like to donate to the Australian Lions Diabetes Foundation....please send to Lara Lions BSB: 633000 ACC: 137595419 Ref: Lap The Map Thank you for your support https://lionsclubs.org.au/members/diabetes-foundation/ https://lionsclubs.org.au/lions-australia-to-lap-the-map-f/
06.01.2022 Motors at the Mansion - Car & Bike Show Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions we will be unable to have our annual car show this year. Looking forward to resurrecting it next year
01.01.2022 We were finally able to meet face to face for a dinner meeting last night. We had the privilege of having Lee-Ann Anlselmo 1st Vice District Governor Elect join us to pass on valuable information on behalf of District Governor Delwyn Seebeck. Werribee President Sam Anselmo and Suzanne Baade-Whittaker were great additions to our numbers. President John Wilson awarded a number of members and friends of Lions with certificates of achievement. Lee-Ann also made a number of presentations. Tail twister Alan Smedley had a great time fining members for transgressions going back as far as July last year. It was a fun night and a joy to be in the company of such good people.
