A full menagerie it included a taxidermy baby deer aka Bambi whom was a still born and a Jackalope whom are really just creatures from folklore & fairytales. These awesome creatures came from the delightful @thetreasurefox.hanfox and were nestled amongst skulls from deceased farm animals from @theshedatdalmore including their beloved pet pig " Wilburt" May they rest in peace amongst the beautiful spring wildflowers...... 15.01.2022 Daisy's in my hair. Peace in my heart. Love in my soul. Yesterday's expedition to @lucindaseverlastings with my flower fairie's Millie & Cian was just what the doctor ordered. Jen the master flower grower taught us so much about the mysterious little flowers. Did you know they close when they are cold and open again to warmth even years after being picked! Want to create your own heavenly patch head to @lucindaseverlastings and grab some of these magic little seeds...they don't too much TLC but will reward you with so much LOVE. 14.01.2022 This is an appreciation post for the crew that got this insane project off the ground. How is it that the most exciting things in life often coincide with some of the most challenging times. My mum has been seriously ill in hospital the entire build which was all very unexpected and happened the night before we installed. So having to be present on site and create when I just wanted to be by her side was really tough. The only thing that got me through was my friends and crea...tive team. Beautiful people I couldn't have done it without you. @cindystait thanks for being the gaffer tape that holds my family ( and the universe)together. @lotusfloristry thanks for travelling all the way from Perth and bringing your confidence and creative floral talents @_mattymoon_ your positivity and drive held me up every step of the way. The Pickles @gigi_l.amore & @privatepickledj you fringe palms and stab gum in the ground like no one else. @starboard.productions you wire like a ninja amongst all the other things @loronstan you are officially the moss boss. @lisananutara my sage mandala mumma thanks for inspiring me with botanical art since I was a child. That's my middle name this week as we adventure across the southwest collecting material for my very own #thebigflowerfight a giant botanical sculpture we are creating for @nannupflowerandgardenfestival It's also my friend's epic new garden wear company and these are the comfiest yet toughest gloves I have ever laid my hands in. They make me want to DO STUFF and fist pump the air! @yardcore will be at the festival on the 16th August. Our sculpture will be up for the six week duration of the event. 14.01.2022 We are off to pack down the "Spiral of Life" sculpture today and it's hard to put into words how moving the whole experience has been. I never imagined for it to be so big & move so many people. I'm beyond honoured to have had the opportunity to connect with @dkprinzing my floral hero whom is founder of @myslowflowers movement in the states. 10.01.2022 I knew I was destiny when my Halloween bride told me she was on a pilgrimage to Transylvania last year. I have met few people that even know its a real place little alone go there. One of the last wild frontiers of Eastern Europe its where my fathers side of the family goes back for many centuries. My dad is pretty much a "Count of Transylvania" so I'm still not quite sure why I wasn't born with fangs. The mystery and magic that weaves through that land runs deep in my blood.... My fairytale is a long story but hopefully dad finishes his book about it all soon. In the meantime can we all appreciate Ash & Scotts fairytale wedding. 10.01.2022 Life weaves magic fairytales. Today Jeremy and I have had a huge life changing event. Thanks to our family we are now the blessed caretaker's of a rare and unique piece of magic. Completely overgrown with no fences, no neighbours, a magical secret garden of 2.4acres right in the heart of Bridgetown ( actually the dead centre of town as it is adjacent to a pioneer cemetery ) Featuring a jungle of wild trees that were planted by the paediatrician that birthed me just a few hun...dred meters from this very place I feel like life has has brought me full circle right back to where it begun. And now with the love of my life we are diving into this new adventure. Instead of working abroad in London as planned we are digging our hands into the soil and growing different dreams. With a hundred year old double brick house that just needs lots of TLC, three cellar flower studios and a music attic for Jeremy this is going to be our home and creative base. Still close to my family and our farm but our very own piece of paradise. With a year round spring fed pond full of lillies and long neck tortoise and a winter creek, the soil is rich and we hope to renovate the space into a magical garden and micro flower farm. The dream is to be able to run workshops where people can pick straight from the garden. Not yet sure how we fit renovating a house and 2.4 acre garden into our already overlfowef cups - we are just trusting, as it feels so right. Please excuse us if we are a little slow on emails in the next little whilst as we make this transition. I have had a chance to take a breath and give myself some self love. However its with flutterbys and butterflys in my stomach that I find myself about to dive heart first into a summer of LOVE. Let's be honest it's pretty much lost the plot! I find myself in tune with nature more than ever. The blossoms don't know that the humans are scared of an invisible killer. They are just quietly going about their business making some magic pollen for the bees. I feel the whole earth having a deep bre...athe right now. 04.01.2022 My two most precious visitors to the "Spiral of Life" Mum and Dad aka Chrissy & Andrew. After building the spiral in honour of my my beautiful mum who became suddenly ill it was incredible to have them experience the creation. Its with a heavy heart that I feel I must share with my wider community that mum's diagnosis hasn't been good. She has been diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer that has metastasised to her lymphs & liver. It's been a very shocking time for us all, as s...ix weeks earlier she had absolutely no symptoms whatsoever. Death is a normal and sacred part of our lives but it is still completely terrifying to think of loosing your parents. The emotions are a complete roller coaster. However the emotion that shines through the strongest for all of us is GRATITUDE. Chrissy has had an incredible life thus far that has been exciting, rewarding, bountiful, influential and full of LOVE. Our family plan is for Chrissy's beautiful life to continue for as long as possible. I felt the need to share this with you all so that I can be my authentic self on social media. This is going to be a journey and I want to be able to share my feelings and stay connected. As she puts it "we are all dying & Im no special flower" Her being so humble and at peace with the situation doesn't make it any less harder but definitely more poignant & beautiful. Every single blossom and leaf budding has never looked so magical. Every single moment is so precious. It feels even more special that we now reside at our beautiful "Lillypad" a property that my mum actually discovered for us and helped us buy. We plan to have her stay with us here often. I have just transplanted 18 roses that were struggling under trees into a new "rose garden" and I hope to pick plenty of bunches for mum from this patch. We have started a health blog/journal for mum https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/chrissysharp. We will have all the details of her health situation on this platform. This will give our friends the opportunity to keep up to date with Chrissy's journey, whilst we as a family don't have to explain all the icky details to people individually. As mum doesn't use social media this is also a place you can share photo's, stories and memories with her.
