20.01.2022 Thank you to our beautiful educator Preet and her gorgeous daughter Keerat for sharing part of their culture with us today as we celebrated Diwali. The children loved learning about the history of Diwali, making lanterns, creating a rangoli, dancing to traditional music and embracing the fun, colour and joy that Diwali brings!! We are so lucky to have a diverse teaching team that can offer new learning opportunities and cultural experiences for the children.

19.01.2022 NAIDOC Week 2020 - Always was, always will be. We have spent the week emerging ourselves in Aboriginal culture, art, language and games as we celebrated NAIDOC Week. We also updated our Acknowledgement of Country which will be proudly displayed in our foyer

18.01.2022 Have you met our resident bearded dragon? It has been loving the warm weather - this afternoon it let the children watch on from really close as it lay in the sun on a rock in the garden. There was some great discussions occurring as the children wondered what it might eat - offering it a tomato and basil leaves fresh from the nearby vege patch.

17.01.2022 On the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month we will remember them. We observed a few minutes silence at 11am followed by the playing of the Last Post. The children were so respectful during this time - understanding the importance of remembering those who fought for our country and did not return.

16.01.2022 Halloween inspired sensory play this week!

15.01.2022 This week as part of our transition to school activities, the children are creating the school uniforms of the preschools/schools that they are going to attend next year. The children loved working on their own shirt - adding the logo from their new school, colouring the shirt in, cutting it out and then adding a picture of their face to the top. They are hanging proudly in our entrance way.

05.01.2022 Thank you to our resident face painter Diana who did a fabulous job on the children's faces for our dress up day! She is so talented and we are lucky to have her on our team!

01.01.2022 Our book week/Halloween dress up day was lots of fun!! Here are some of our teachers dressed as a pirate, the BFG, the tiger who came to tea and thing one and thing two!

01.01.2022 This week some of the older children headed out for a walk down to the IGA to post an envelope full of drawings and cards to one of their friends who has moved to Adelaide. It is always fun to get out into our local community and the children loved pointing out all the things they recognised along the way - the mountain ranges where they ate pancakes one time, the drainway where they ride bikes, their friends houses and the pizza shop!! After measuring the envelope, putting the right amount of stamps on it and posting the letter, we had enough time to enjoy an icy pole before heading back to the ELC. We hope the letter arrives to our friend quickly!
