This day allows us to experience the joy of belonging ...to each other-beyond borders or social barriers. We reflect on our global presence and honour both our differences and similarities, knowing these enrich our L’Arche Family (Whanau) #lightuplarche Tonight we lit candles at sunset, sung Te Aroha (a Maori waiata), Claudia led us in a Karakia, Stephen performed a haka, we prayed, held other L’Arche communities close in our hearts, and had chocolate cake (because you can’t have a gathering without it!) .
