21.01.2022 Day 1 of Virtual Regatta racing online is done! A few internet glitches made it hard for Sailor, Carter and Murphy to complete any of the races but they made an appearance on the start line. Boo Boo of the day, Fireball sailor Daniel McLaren was leading the first heat when 50 metres from the finish his internet took him out of the race. However, the PRO was very nice and awarded him the win. Stuart Emery had a strong day on the keyboard, regular RO Darryl must of taught Stua...rt well! Going into Day 2 the Commodore has a little lead but the chasing pack will be keen to catch him!! If you didnt compete today and would like to join, comment VR on this post and the Commodore will be in touch! Results below!!

04.01.2022 Thats a wrap on the LBSC eSailing Club Championship!! On day 2 saw 4 senior sailors continue on from yesterdays 4 heats to complete another 5. Largs Commodore Nicholas Neale wanted to continue on a solid day one and did so by taking out race 1 with a big win. Race 2 was joined by Daniel McLaren who unfortunately missed the start of the first race. Daniel came out with great speed and took back to back wins and put the rest of the field on notice. Unfortunately internet dram...as saw Daniel struggle in the next 2 races. Sam Gaylard had a very consistent day out on the water finishing every race in the top 3. He had 3 2nd places in a row but just couldnt break through for that heat win!! Maybe the conspiracy of winning the invitation race hurt Sam. Overall in 2nd place we had Stuart Emery. Stuart showed that consistency more than anything can yield a good result. With only one race win next to his name, he was able to stay ahead of the chasing fleet and protect his second place. Well done to all who entered, they may not be on the results but a quick mention to Will Gaylard, Fraser and Carter Baker, Murphy and Sailor Cowen. They werent able to compete in every race but on Friday night they had a test run against Nick and Murphy beat him by some distance. Nick will now represent LBSC next Saturday at 2:30pm in the SA eSailing State Championships hosted by Australian Sailing SA. We wish him all the best!!
04.01.2022 Been too long since weve able to post some on water content!! See below for some pics and a summary of the weekend Racing was postponed to next week due to poor weather however 4 boats still went out for a burn. Two 420s (Carter & Brayden and B&SYCs Ben and Byron) hit the water first enjoying some training together. As they came in Esho hit the water for the first time in his Contender alongside President Matt Carter and Commodore Nick Neale. Both boats returned to shor...e before the rain squall hit. As for the boo boo of the day both RIBs returned to the CYC battling the weather to discover Matt Sampsons car window half down leaving a very wet interior after being hammered by rain. For those who went out, it was good to be back on the water again However with the bar back open members and friends were able to reunite over some beverages both Friday and Saturday - Alicia, Chloe and Matt
