07.01.2022 Class of 1970, 50 years from when we started at Larnook...great weekend in Yea.

07.01.2022 Listening to talk back radio about Labor’s plan to increase the ATAR for entry to teaching...how many of us attended Larnook after an interview with Miss Horne and senior staff??? Our years were selected for the attributes we showed as potential teachers of Home Economics. How many would have been selected based on our year 12 results??? The staff saw our potential and even though some of us may not have enjoyed our time at Larnook, as women we made differences in many areas. We may not have agreed with many of the rules etc but we all survived and have made our contributions to society. Perhaps we did not have high scores but we all had an ability to succeed...maybe universities should interview students who want to be teachers and select those who showed our passion....
