24.01.2022 Grover and Kermit ask kids how Santa gets down the chimney with Christmas presents. The final one is great!

22.01.2022 Twas a dark and stormy Halloween night during a global pandemic, but that hasn’t stopped the friendly island monsters arranging treats for the kids. Very limited supplies! The cutest little witch and the tiniest of SES workers just had an adorable exchange with Troggg.

22.01.2022 Elissa: It doesn’t look like she wants to leave. She must’ve enjoyed the puppet show! Teacher: It’s the happiest she’s been all week. Little Miss 2: Everyone was there on the mat. There was music.

21.01.2022 What moment did Brett and Elissa each fall in love with puppetry? Here’s a snippet from our recent interview with the wonderful Puppet Podcast!

19.01.2022 That was an EPIC music video shoot! We left the house at 11am yesterday and arrived home at 5am this morning after all was said and done. It was a day/night to remember, and we can’t wait to share the results of all our hard work.

13.01.2022 Amazing Christmas ad from a few years ago featuring a puppeteer. That look of wide-eyed wonder on the little girl's face is what makes the magical job of puppetry so worthwhile.

07.01.2022 This humble proposal folder accompanied Brett Hansen into a life-changing meeting exactly 8 years ago. Brett set out to convince his local NEIS provider that... he was serious about starting a puppetry business, Larrikin Puppets. Brett marched into that interview at Sarina Russo Job Access armed with courage, passion and strong reasoning to support his claim that he’d be able to make a living out of puppetry in Australia. Here’s what Brett has to say about that meeting today: I had never been more confident and sure of anything in my life. I convinced the interviewer! He shook my hand and accepted me into the NEIS program, but added, You do realise you’re mad, though, right? and I said, Absolutely. Three years later that same guy shook my hand at a fancy awards night in Melbourne after I won the NEIS Change Award for achieving three years of successful growth in a business that changed my life drastically after being a divorced, unemployable failure with seemingly useless puppetry skills and an impossible dream. Eight years later, my sole income is puppetry. Elissa helps me run a bigger and better business than ever before. We’ve traveled, we’ve gained fans, we’ve performed at huge events, we’ve run workshops, we’ve done cool film and TV stuff, we’ve met several of my Jim Henson puppeteer heroes from The Muppets and Sesame Street, we’ve released music, and we’re right in the middle of adapting a book into a huge, scripted, touring puppet musical. Mad? Perhaps. Impossible dream? No. HUGE congratulations Brett from the team at @neis.now for taking the plunge and pursuing your passion. That’s what NEIS is all about and we couldn’t be happier for you. Like to read Brett’s amazing story? Hit the link: www.neisnow.com.au/success_story/larrikin-puppets See more

03.01.2022 BIG day for us today! Our characters are being filmed in a music video for two of the HOTTEST Australian artists right now, in a single that everyone will be singing along to by Christmas. Watch this space, and keep an eye out over the next month or two for Troggg and the gang on Rage, MTV, etc!

03.01.2022 Live theatre and live music is EVERYTHING.
