25.01.2022 This weekend we took Larry down to Martins Tank which is about an hour and a half south of Perth. We booked via the WA Park Stays website and it was only $12 per adult (no power). The facility’s were nice and clean and the kids love the fact that there were drop toilets. On the way home we popped out to Preston Beach and managed to spot an emu on the way back to the freeway.
25.01.2022 On Thursday night we impressed ourselves by setting up the camper in the dark in less then 15 minutes. @racparksandresorts had a deal pay for 2 but stay 3 nights so we booked #Cervantes for a long weekend. It’s only 2 hours north of Perth and there is so much to explore. The kids have had a ball so far. We have visited 2 national parks today (the pinnacle and a cave) and tomorrow we have booked a sea lion tour
21.01.2022 One of my favourite things about travelling with the kids is seeing their reactions to the places we visit. Sure, I could show them a brochure or a YouTube video but noting quiet compares it to seeing things in real life. Every time we plan a new trip I’m always amazed at how many cool places there are to visit. I can’t wait for the boarders to reopen and eventually do our big trip from Perth to Brisbane.
20.01.2022 With the school holidays coming up fast we only have a few dates available for Bookings. Minimum booking is 5 days. To check availability you can check the Camplify link https://www.camplify.com.au//pop-top-rental-golden-b/11815
19.01.2022 If your looking for a cheap place to stay within 3 hours from Perth then consider #sandycape for a weekend getaway. The sites are unpowered but Larry has a water tank, a gas stove and a battery that powers the fridge, lights and USB ports. The facilities were brand new when we visited and the newer section even has proper flushing toilets. The camp sites are just off the beach and there is a hire place where you can hire paddles boards and sand boards. A site is only $20 a night so it’s a prefect location for a quick getaway.
15.01.2022 I’ve spent the last few months planning some amazing family getaways. And I must admit so far this one has been our favourite so far. #thepinnacles were more spectacular then we imagined and they are only 2 hours north of Perth. We left the camp site at 830am and arrived before the discovery centre had opened. The entry was free as we already had a national parks pass but if you don’t have one already it’s $15 for the day or if you are an RAC member $60 entry to all parks for a year. @ The Pinnacles - Cervantes, Western Australia
12.01.2022 If your looking for a fun and adventurous activity near the Jurien Bay Marine Park then look no further then #stockyardgullycaves entry is free (national park pass) but a 4WD is a must. We left the camper at cervantes and had a day trip. The kids loved the 5km sand/bush track leading in. Next time we go we will definitely take a torch and probably bring a fly hat too. Because the flys were crazy!! We managed to spot a kangaroo and 2 emus on the way as well.
11.01.2022 If your worried about hiring a camper because you don’t have electric breaks- worry no more. Larry has been fitted with Elecbrakes where he just needs to be plugged into the car and off you go.
09.01.2022 Larry is now up on Camplify for hire. He is $90 a night for peak with a minimum 5 night hire - https://www.camplify.com.au//pop-top-rental-golden-b/11815
06.01.2022 Today we are putting new foam underlay underneath the mattress protectors to ensure good night sleep!
05.01.2022 A quick tour of Larry the Lark. He comes fully equipped ready to just add food, bedding and clothes.
03.01.2022 For anyone looking to hire Larry we have recently installed a fly net to keep the pesky flys away. The fly net has a magnetic strip down the middle making it easy to walk through. There is also some fly spray inside incase some flys/mosquito’s/bee’s do make their way in.
02.01.2022 Natures Window in #kalbarrinationalpark has been the highlight of this trip. It may have been 37.9 degrees when we attempted the walk but the kids did such an amazing job of not falling into the gorge. This area is spectacular, photos really don’t do it justice. @ Kalbarri National Park
01.01.2022 The speed limit for drivers towing caravans and boats is 100km/h, but make sure to always check your owners manual, as the vehicle may have a lower manufacturer...s speed limit for towing. Please be patient if you are travelling behind a towing vehicle and wait for an overtaking lane before passing. More info: https://bit.ly/2W0vjP4
