19.01.2022 Black Friday has become something of an annual religious festival. Worshippers bang on shop stores, rip products from the shelves and make Amazon’s developers work hard for their money, almost crashing the site with volumes that can only be described as extraordinary. Are you ready for the biggest shopping day on earth? Here are some basic pointers for laser clinics and aesthetics businesses to prepare for Black Friday. More is More... This isn’t the time for tiny discounts. Black Friday is founded on the concept of massive discounts for whoever can get there first. Those who win big do so on volume, and more volume. The limitations for businesses that rely on preset appointments are obvious, so it’s important to think laterally. Not Just Friday At least, not for treatments. The opportunity for Black Friday sales lies in volume, and Friday offers a finite number of hours, so work your online game, and expand things out as long as you can. Sell gift certificates and pre-bookings (offer high discounts during slow days). Offer discounts for online sales of products (higher discounts for low-selling products). Have you just launched a new treatment, or will you shortly? Use Black Friday to build momentum. Loud As You Can Everyone is clambering for attention on Black Friday, so turn on your creative brain and think about how to turn those eyes in your direction. Perhaps send your most loyal clients an email and send out a notification of your sale via social media. Maybe you should consider a paid campaign, or advertise locally. Again, the louder the better. Black Friday means opportunity, but it’s not a time to be subtle. Yell and scream your most amazing offers from the rooftops and if it doesn’t work immediately, you’re not being loud enough. Also, enjoy all the other bargains!

14.01.2022 Expanding your business can be a little daunting. Figuring out which treatments work and which ones don’t, determining whether or not your clients will love it and calculating how cost-effective it will be for the business. All of these questions come to mind. Listening to your clients and taking on their feedback can be a great place to start. Being open to their suggestions is the best way to see the gaps in your treatment offering and the potential revenue you are missing ...out on. Our rental model also allows you to give a new device a go, without the commitment of permanently setting it into your treatment menu. Check out our blog for more ideas about what you could add to your clinic to stand out from the crowd.

11.01.2022 Skin rejuvenation treatments are becoming more popular, and many clinic owners and managers are considering adding skin rejuvenation to their treatment menu. But which treatment will offer the best client satisfaction, and the highest return on investment? Start by looking at your existing offering, and asking your clients which treatment they would most like you to bring into the clinic. After all, it’s not necessarily the most scientifically proven or the most famous treatm...ent that will resonate with your clients. Now you most likely have a shortlist, let’s break down a few treatments: Microdermabrasion Well known, low-cost, and easy to introduce, microdermabrasion will be easy to promote to your clients. It’s also a fast and effective treatment process that is easily tacked onto any existing offering. However, it's well-known for a reason: many clinics offer it, so do your research. Laser Resurfacing While this is a broad category dependent on the type of laser you use, laser resurfacing is also quite well-known and easy to explain. While there are (often significant) short-term side-effects, such as redness, itching, and sometimes swelling, laser resurfacing also offers a smorgasbord of treatment solutions. From uneven skin tone and fine wrinkles to sun-damaged skin and acne scars, laser resurfacing when used effectively can be transformative. Chemical Peels One of the best things about chemical peels is the opportunity to test various acids, giving clients the opportunity to create their own personalised treatment. Chemical peels are effective and have the advantage of the tingly sensation, helping the customer feel the treatment working. This is in stark contrast to the likes of LED light therapy, which, while effective, doesn’t offer any sensation at all.

11.01.2022 The most important point is this - EMS works. It has been proven that electronic stimulation of muscles fools the body into thinking it's exercising and produces a similar result. Similar, not the same. It's like when you go to the gym: your muscles respond to the exercises you perform based on a number of factors. These include how long you train for, the nature of the exercise (weights, running on a treadmill, pilates etc) and results become apparent over a period of time. ...However, as we have all experienced, just because one person exercises a certain way doesn't mean that those results can be duplicated by another person. We all have unique characteristics that create virtually limitless variables in the exercise/results formula. Additionally, direct electronic stimulation of the muscles isn't an entire workout it just recreates one component of exercise. But, it can make a significant difference While EMS is not a replacement for exercise, it does give your clients a method to get rid of those pesky "last few kilograms." The real strength of EMS is that it can target problem areas with a specificity that exercise alone simply cannot offer. You know that client who goes to boot camp every morning, cycles to work and eats only low-fat organic food? The one who says, "I just wish I could get rid of this," and grabs a small amount of excess fat on their stomach. EMS is a perfect and powerful solution to their problem. Personal trainers have been telling their clients for years that weight loss happens all over the body, and it's difficult to target a particular area which is true. But EMS's can, because it isn't normal exercise and other muscle groups aren't becoming exhausted and mental strength is not a factor.

06.01.2022 Create an Oasis Mindfulness meditation helps people gain perspective on their problems by focusing their attention on something repetitive or predictable. This could involve focusing on breathing, paying attention to certain parts of the body or listening to the wind through the trees. The point is, for many of us, perspective and distraction are both luxuries. Think about how you can either focus your client or distract from their problems. Pay close attention to all the sen...ses what do they see? What can they smell? What can they hear? Do they taste anything? How does everything feel? Each one of the senses has the ability to entirely distract your client. It’s like when you’re walking down the road and you smell a perfume or cologne from someone you used to know. Or when you taste a drink that you haven’t had since you were a child. For a few moments you are transported back in time, and your mind is entirely focused on something separate to your current existence. Be Unpredictable The best hotels in the world pay a small fortune to attract the best concierges. These service professionals are not only valuable for their contacts (concierges foster relationships in all the right places to give guests access to the famously inaccessible) but also their ability to amaze people who are used to experiencing the best of the best. Average concierges give the guests exceptional service. They will surpass anyone’s expectations and even the most demanding guests will leave satisfied. Exceptional concierges offer guests service that is unexpected. Rather than simply pandering to the wishes of someone seeking tickets to a sold-out play, they will entirely shift their expectations. The very best concierges demonstrate their knowledge and expertise. They present options that are unexpected because that is what is best for the guest. Being unpredictable through demonstrating knowledge based on what you consider to be best for your client is the pinnacle of luxury. The most extraordinary facial treatment will pale in comparison to having someone you can ask questions of and rely on. In other words, to be able to ask my expert.

06.01.2022 There's a lot of strange things going on in the world. Elections, second waves, third waves, and Baby Shark is officially the most popular YouTube video of all time. Yikes. Meanwhile, in Australia, we're coming into summer having overcome COVID, and our biggest problem is picking a beach for Christmas. Happy Friday everyone.

02.01.2022 Low impact facial therapies are an important part of your clinic menu. They can also require less time and cost considerably less than other devices. Best of all, clients love them. Here are our tips on which non-invasive treatments you should consider for your business. LED Light Therapy... LED therapy encompasses a multitude of treatment types, including the ever-popular LED sauna, medical recovery treatments and acne, scar and blemish reduction treatments. But LED also has a wide range of non-treatment benefits, including Seasonal Effective Disorder, a common mental health disorder associated with the winter months. LED is an effective treatment that requires virtually no training (the machine does all the work) neither does it require a considerable amount of time. The client lies down, the device is set, and that’s it. LED is also a brilliant lunchtime treatment as no recovery is required. Hydrotherapy Taking over Instagram are hydrotherapy treatments. Using water as a microdermabrasion medium, this treatment creates a visual representation of the treatment which clients loveand post to social media. Vacuum technology is used to cleanse and exfoliate the skin at the same time, and different heads attached to the device can create different sensations and results. It’s an excellent treatment for clinics that are looking to gain momentum or get a fast return on their investment because these treatments are already well known. High Impact Focused Ultrasound We couldn’t finish this list without mentioning HIFU, a treatment which many claim has revolutionised non-invasive therapy. Also known as the less painful facelift, HIFU uses ultrasound technology (dermal heat) to attack certain cells and stimulate collagen production. The results are fewer wrinkles, and the skin appears tighter. This is a beautiful treatment for generating referrals because results appear quickly.
