Working full time lashing myself, running in salon Lash Classes and being a single mum didn’t leave me any down time to get it done! Last lockdown, I used my time wisely, and I created this amazing online lash course. 12.01.2022 Would you believe this is my wonderful client after 3 weeks of me doing her lashes?! Right before we completed her fill Not only are they still full, but they are also still really neat ( going on the right direction etc). We get asked a lot about retention (lashes lasting well), and what affects how long they stay on.... We throughly go through this within our training course theory, but here a of few of the key things for long lasting retention: As a lash Artist: Firstly knowing your glue is key. Knowing the ideal conditions (humidity & temperature) within your lash room in order for it to be working to its best ability. Knowing how to adjust your room if the conditions are not ideal for the glue you are using. Ensuing you have the correct speed glue for your lash speed and technique (fast drying isn’t always the best if your learning or your working slow). Lash glue isn’t a one size fits all. Having multiple ones on hand if you need to change to a slower or faster drying one on different days due to room conditions. Ensuring your applying extensions to Clean lashes. educating your clients on how to correctly care for lashes and on selling a special lash cleanser investing in good quality training As a client: How the lashes are cared for once you leave the salon (picking , pulling, not cleaning, wearing heavy eye makeup, sleeping face down in the pillow). hormone and stress levels having oily skin if you’re a sweater during exercise ensuring your washing them after If you are swimming at the beach ensuring your cleansing once your home being mindful of activities that you are doing eg, jet skiing and face planting the water when falling off! 05.01.2022 Flashback to our In Salon Lash Training. How I miss training in our beautiful studio. I can’t wait to be back in there and meet lots of new faces and see lots of familiar faces We have had so many new students enrol in our IN SALON & ONLINE courses over the past few weeks. We have been extremely busy behind the scenes packing kits & getting them all posted for both the insalon students and the online students (All in salon bookings get access to our online training also, w...hich allows them to read all theory and view videos etc, this will help them immensely when they come into the salon for the in person training). We’ve also been working very closely with all our ONLINE students, helping them work through the course, marking/assessing assignments and leaving feedback. Thankyou to each and every student that has choose to train with. 03.01.2022 The 3 P’s PRACTICE PATIENCE PERSISTENCE... Our new Motto! These pictures (swipe across) are of my wonderful student @lashesbymissmac. Mac started Classic Lash Training a few weeks ago with us. On day 1 of her training she felt overwhelmed and almost ready to give up as it was more difficult for her then she anticipated. Over the last few weeks Mac has listened to our advice that practice , patience & persistence are to progression! Fast forward to today she was able to successfully complete this beautiful set of volume lashes confidently I am so proud of Mac and I look forward to continuing to mentor her next year when she is back for some further training , and also between now and then PRACTICE.
