I’m a very bubbly, honest and ambitious person.... I love to be able to drive a few hours away and see some of the most beautiful places in Australia. On my days off I love going for adventures with my Golden Retriever Tucker and spending time with my Hubby - we recently married in December 2020. I'm so excited to start at Lash City - I’ve had previous experience in the beauty and hairdressing world but have always gravitated towards lashing/lashes - I always say there’s nothing a good set of lashes can’t fix. I look forward to furthering my lash knowledge and learning from from the best of the best! 23.01.2022 Cleanse your lashes last - Whether you wash your lashes in the shower or at the basin, the order of your hair/ face cleansing routine can affect how long your lashes last! For optimum retention follow in these steps. ... 1. Wash your hair first. Tip your head back to rinse it, try avoid any shampoo/ conditioner spilling onto your face. You don't want residues running into your lashes! 2. Wash your face. Be cautious of your face wash, this most likely contains ingredients that are not compatible with lash extensions, don't let any face wash touch your eye area! Wipe face wash off with a wet face washer to make sure. 3. Lastly, wash your lashes. Washing your lashes last will ensure if any product accidentally or slightly touched them, that the cleanser will cleanse it straight off. Only lash cleansers are recommended to wash your lashes extensions with. If you wash your lashes first, you're risking other products touching them and then staying on there overnight or until you wash your lashes next. These ingredients can break down the adhesive - resulting in your extensions not lasting as long.

18.01.2022 Why is this so important? There are real reasons why you need to keep your lashes completely dry! We absolutely do not say it for the fun of it Lash adhesives polymerises, which means when we are lashing you, the outer shell of the adhesive will "set" within a few seconds, but the inner adhesive will not. This takes time and moisture to polymerise, however if your lashes have not had the time to fully polymerise before you wet them, the inner adhesive will never set. ... This results in lash loss! If you go home after your appointment and go for a shower and forget about your lashes and wet them, they will most likely not have set. You can expect lash loss quicker than normal Sometimes it happens by accident, but just let us know it happened so we are aware :) If they've been wet within 24hrs you can expect your lashes to start to fall off within days. There's no guarantee how long your extensions will last if they weren't kept dry because they never got the chance to fully set in the first place If you keep your lashes dry, you will be lengthening the life of your extensions, which means you will arrive to your next appointment with more lashes on, which will mean it takes less time to do, which means cheaper appointments! We only charge by time, so if you're doing your absolute best to follow all aftercare and are arriving with as many lashes on as possible - then your appointments will take less time. All of the aftercare is super important, this is only one small tip that can truly change how long your lashes last. Please remember it doesn't affect us if you wet your lashes, it's your time and money that it affects lashes are worthy of good love and care! Make the $$ count.

15.01.2022 HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY TO US! What a quick 6 years! Flashback to 2015, I was a 19yr old fresh out of business/ management school and looking to buy a business. I was home based for 18 months, and have been salon based for the last 4.5 years! Anyone can run a home based, small/side/hobby business, but actually managing, running, living & breathing a full time work space with employees is a whole different level. I have spent a few years finding my people that I really need an...d love in my work life, and I’ve finally found my work fam that inspire, motivate, and help me get to where the business is going. Thank you so much Emma Fellows, Estelle Carroll-Zing, LashJoy & Charmaine Mc Nally for all of your help! I can’t appreciate you all enough This past year has been a very big shift in dynamic, it was very important to learn who was really really in my corner and supporting me in my vulnerable days. I am so proud of getting through a fresh baby, returning to work after 3 weeks and be able to be on this journey with someone who mutually cares for lash city & our goals. Emma you make my life so much easier, and you appreciate everything I do, as do I of you #dreamteam Now my life enters a brand new chapter, running, growing & surviving a business, all with a new little baby! I’ve had to separate myself between my two babies! Hunter and lash city. All mums in business and would know how it feels, and how hard it really is, and how important having the right people around are. We have a specific percentage of maximum length we can add to your natural lashes (No over extending, which can be heavy) We properly isolate & do more than just a brush through with our tweezers at the end! Every single lash is carefully studied, isolated & individualised. ... Even if requested, we will not over extend your natural lashes. We can let you know what the maximum length your lashes can hold is. We will not go past this, not now, not ever. Our team is trained by one of the highest regarded lash academies in Australia. We didn’t cut any corners with training, we do the exact same technique as each other, we follow all lash rules and regularly do quality control checks to ensure we’re always doing the absolute damage free lashes. We don’t use clumping amounts of adhesive. We are cautious with the amounts we use. We do not care if heaps of glue makes your lashes last longer.. we use the perfect amount of low fume adhesive for our weather conditions. Lash extensions are designed to last the full length of your natural lash cycle - our adhesive amounts aligns with this.
