24.01.2022 In case you are wondering if: 1) do eyelash extensions ruin my lashes? 2) do eyelash serums work? This client of mine has been coming to me since 2015 to have extensions done. Her natural lashes were quite thin and short, so to be able to get fuller effect with extensions I recommend for her to use lash serum. Stronger natural lashes mean thicker extensions. ... So fast-forward 5 years and corona lock-down, she has decided to try out lash lift as it’s a low maintenance treatment. So answering those 2 questions: 1) lash extensions do not ruin your natural lashes if you have a qualified lash technician who cares about the health of your natural lashes. 2) Lash serums really do work. 16.01.2022 Thumbs up for magnetic lashes Easy to apply and they stay on and they are comfortable. And you can get them natural looking. If don’t want to read the whole story, then scroll down to verdict. I tried them yesterday 9-3pm. I exercised with them, went for a bicycle ride and they stayed on*. Magnetic lashes have 5 magnets (other brands usually only have 3). I used my shortie style with 5 magnets on my right side and I cut my sweet jungle style, so I ended up with 3 magn...ets. Why did I do it? Because I felt after first try that with 5 magnets my inner corner started itching. With 3 magnets I didn’t have any problems. So when I say they stayed on, then I mean that I took 5 magnet lashes out after 2 hours and swapped with 3 magnets and they stayed on until I removed them. My sister came over yesterday to try them out. She didn’t have any problems with inner eye corners being itchy or irritated. So it was just the fact that my eyes are smaller and I needed to cut the base of my magnetic lashes. I cut my shortie style, so I have only 4 magnets now. They feel so much better now. VERDICT: Magnetic lashes are easy to use and stay on but you have to have few practice runs to make sure they feel and look the best. Practice makes perfect! Don’t be afraid to cut them shorter widthways to make them more comfortable. 15.01.2022 Cheap vs expensive. Showing you difference between "cheap" (images on the left) and "expensive" (images on the right) set of lashes. But are the lashes on the left actually cheap?? Full-set of lashes on the left is $130, on the right $195.... If you look the numbers, then of course the left one seems cheaper. But if you consider the time put in on those sets, then the left one is actually more expensive. What??!! It takes about 2-2.5 (sometimes even 3hrs) to do a proper full-set of volume lashes. It takes time to make fans (yes they are hand-made and that's how you get fluffy look). You can't rush when doing lashes as you need to isolate and place lashes properly to get best retention. More time spent applying lashes, means you'll end up with more lashes as well, so you won't have to go back for your refill appointment that soon. Instead of going after 2 weeks you can get away with 3 weeks. Set on the left took an hour and bit and cost $130. So average hour rate $130. Set on the right took about 2 hrs and cost $195, average hour rate $98. Please to your research before booking in. Ask to see before and after photos, ask how long it takes, ask their certificates etc.

07.01.2022 When can I get my lashes done again? Well, I’m not sure exactly but here’s a Northen Territory exiting roadmap. They haven’t had any new cases for 3 weeks now, so they are lifting restrictions. Saying that, we don’t know how WA is going to go but we have been good for over a week now. But I’ll have to bring you sad news and say that eyelash salons will probably be one of the last businesses to reopen as we just can’t do our job 1.5m away. It will be stage 3 when we can res...ume as we go under facial treatments. So you can go and have a catchup with your girlfriends in a cafe, go to the gym and get your nails done before lashes. 06.01.2022 Phase 3 is starting from 6th of June. As there are many of you and only me, then I have thought what’s the best and easiest way to start it again. 1) Send me your availability from 6th of June to 20th (or so) with times you can do.... 2) Which full-set you are after 1,5 hours express lashes- $150 (only from 15th of June onwards) Covers 50-70% natural lashes. Light set. Refill is highly recommended after 2 weeks. 2 hr set- $190. coverage 70-90%. Natural set/dark lash line. Refill after 3-4 weeks. 2.5hr set - $230. Coverage 90-100%. Dramatic lashes. Dark lash line. I will be doing only 2-3 appointments daily as they are long appointments, so please be patient with me. After you send me your availability, I’ll start booking appointments in on coming Monday.

04.01.2022 Before you rush back to lash room to get your lashes done again, please make sure you come in with squeaky clean lashes, so you can have a good retention and maximum time allocated to getting your lashes done rather than spent on cleaning. Wash them at least 2 times before coming in. Apply foam to your lashes, rinse off with plenty of water and do it again. If you have been wearing mascara, make sure there’s absolutely no residue left on your lash line. Any residue (mascara,... foundation, eye cream, cleanser etc) will affect your retention. Third picture is from a hair follicle under a microscope. The surface of a lash is textured, meaning there will be good friction between the lash and glue but only if there’s nothing else in between those two (no mascara, no residue of cleanser, cream, foundation etc). Anything else on top of the lash surface acts like a barrier. Another reason (probably biggest reason), why cleaning your lashes daily is so important, is lash mites. Lash mites love dirt and oil on your lash line, so if you don’t clean your lashes, then you are feeding them and might end up like picture 4 We all have different standards when it comes to cleanliness but when it comes to lashes, then you have to raise your standard to a highest level as there are tiny things that make a huge difference when applying lashes. Please use special lash shampoo on your lashes which is eyelash extension friendly and antibacterial. I’m wearing full strip of shortie style on my right side and I cut my sweet jungle style in half and just wearing the outer corner. I’ll explain later why ai did it. 01.01.2022 I use gentle lash lift products from @ruthiebelle for my lash lift treatments. Yes, it takes a little bit more time to process, but big BONUS is that you can’t over process your client’s lashes. Even if you do another lash lift straight away or couple days later. For this client I used M shield first as she has quite long lashes.
