21.01.2022 GET TO KNOW THE ARTISTS IN OUR INDUSTRY AT HOME AND WORLDWIDE Meet Mimmi Ebbersten, owner of Lashia Eyelash Design! Born in Stockholm, Sweden, she started Las...hia with her mom, Ebba Ebbersten, in 2006 at a time when lashes were fairly unheard of in her region. She now lives in Australia with her family and all the while Lashia education operates worldwide . She is our Featured Artist this Friday in our continued series meant to recognize and support brilliant artists in our community. Mimmi stands out as a leader in the lash industry because of her early-on, globally minded approach. On a trip to Thailand and Australia, she noticed a disparity in lash quality outside of her own operation. That sparked a mission to think globally in terms of lash education, starting her own blog, travelling for work and inevitably running courses worldwide. I admire Mimmi and recognize her as a leading artist and educator in our industry. If you seek out information on Lashia, you’ll quickly notice how tremendous the business is. Lashia's courses are top-rated, have ran for the longest and offer incredible in-person and virtual support to students. This should be exemplary to all of us who are and aspire to be educators. Mimmi and I have been connected since 2016! She was super supportive to me while I suffered hand trauma and then hand surgery. Mimmi was able to share tips on how to maintain the strength required for lash artistry. Generally, Mimmi’s passion for health and life balance is inspirational to me. She is SO good at knowing when to step away and refuel. Like so many of us, she is an entrepreneur, a mom and a boss. I almost had the opportunity to meet her at the NALA conference in Toronto, where she was slated to speak. Circumstances made our in-person meeting delayed, though because of that I was able to meet and train with Mimmi’s BFF, Julia Mann. If you’re an avid follower of Beautyco., you’ll know how that’s panned out! I can’t wait to be able to travel to Australia one day soon, where the lash industry is so progressive and high-level.
