24.01.2022 Hi everyone! Now that were heading into the new year, I've decided to update my salon policies as I've been very lenient this past year. You might notice some slight changes. 1. No shows - If you do not show up for your appointment you will be black listed & I will not offer you any further appointments. Lashious Studio's is a small solo run business, & any No-show/late cancellation heavily affects me & my business. It's quick & easy to send a simple text message to say you c...annot attend. 2. Our eftpos machine is up & running again, all transactions incur a 1.9% surcharge. No more bank transfers will be accepted. 3. For a few short months I will unfortunately be cutting down my hours due to health concerns. I will only be working 8am-2pm daily. 4. All new clients must arrive early to fill out a client waiver form. This will be checked to ensure it has been correctly filled out before beginning any services.

A massive massive thank you to @emkatedesigns_ for bringing this to life! If it wasn’t for her giveaway I’d still be so nervous to rebrand. 23.01.2022 Let’s chat client etiquette As a lash tech there are things we like our clients to do prior to their appointment to help your appointment run as smoothly as possible. Let’s begin with caffeine. Always avoid caffeine before your appointment. YES CAFFEINE. caffeine over stimulates your nervous system, resulting in eye twitching. This can make it very difficult for the lash technician to work with your lashes. ... ALWAYS book your appointments in advance. Bookings fill up weeks in advance & we always want to be able to fit our amazing regular clients in. If you miss out on an appointment from not booking ahead, NEVER guilt trip your tech into making time especially for you. It’s rude & unfair. Be understanding of your lash technicians pricing. We have bills, over heads, tax, super, stock ect to pay. Our prices are set for a reason. Please always wash your lashes regularly. Lashes do not stick to dirty lashes. By washing your lashes were removing dirt, oil, makeup buildup & giving our lash extensions the perfect base for good retention. Even if you don’t have lashes on, before your appointment, please clean your natural lashes to remove any makeup build up. RESPECT. We have policies set in place for a reason. We need our business to run as smoothly as possible. Having these policies ensure our clients are arriving on time, caring for their lashes, respecting us as a technician & as a person. Do not rush your technician! This can stress your tech & result in poor quality of work & NO ONE wants that! Show off your lashes, whether that be on social media (IG or Facebook) or even to your friends. This helps us out as a small business & shows you appreciate our work as much as we value your bookings. If you cannot make it to your appointment. Message or call your technician. This happens far to often, when clients don’t show up and don’t let us know. As a technician we sit around waiting for you. This results in income loss & time wasted. Do the right thing. 21.01.2022 Thursday 10th September is International Suicide Prevention Day. Since the beginning of the pandemic, suicide rates in Australia have increased by 22%. 90% of people who die from suicide have a history of mental illness, and right now 1 in 4 people in Australia are experiencing mental health issues. Australia is currently facing a mental health crisis with so many of us needing help and simply not enough resources to go around. These statistics alone show that mental illness ...is clearly a very common issue in society that so many of us are dealing with, yet it is a personal burden that so many people carry alone, keep to themselves and don’t share their struggle with anyone. Half of us are struggling in silence, and this itself is half the problem. The purpose of this post is to try and bring awareness to the issue, to encourage people to start the conversation, start talking about mental health and to also show others that they are not struggling through this alone. This is an issue that affects us collectively as a society. These are hard conversations to have, but they are important conversations that we need to have. 18.01.2022 Let’s talk infills! I run my infill system off a 2-3 week time frame. This being said, you must still have Atleast 40% of your lash extensions on to be classed as an infill. I’ve been very lenient but it results in me going over time & into another clients time. Please if you have less than 40%, let me know before your appointment so I can arrange time. Lashes by week 4 will be classed & charged as a full set. Don’t forget to be cleansing those beautiful lashes regularly to help keep them clean & you’ll notice better retention!

16.01.2022 let’s prepare for your lash appointment! make sure you arrive to your appointment with a freshly washed face to ensure your lashes are nice & clean! Lash extensions do not stick to oily/dirty lashes! It’s best to wash your hair the night before your appointment to avoid getting them wet for the first 24 hours. Avoid all oily products around your eye area (moisturisers, sunscreens, ect). Wear comfy & warm clothes as sometimes you might feel cold during your appointment. (A blanket is provided for extra comfort ). Ensure your arriving Atleast 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment time. Always use the rest room before your appointment!! & most importantly, be prepared to relax!
