04.01.2022 5 Minute Time Challenge underway at 5 Day Beginners Classic Lash Mastery training at #lashjoyacademy These time challenges are held throughout our 5 day course and are one of the best ways to build application speed and confidence for a new lash stylist. By removing all distractions and focusing on nothing but perfect technique for 5 minutes straight it’s truly amazing the progress that can be made! The important thing here is not just about being fast and chuckin...g lashes on because anyone can do that... it’s about ensuring safe, accurate and efficient placement which builds leads to building good habits. This means correct posture, tweezer grip and anchor points. It’s choosing the appropriate extension for the natural lash, isolating efficiently, using the perfect amount of adhesive, correct placement of the extension whilst maintaining a safe distance from the eyelid and of course working from eye to eye to avoid causing unnecessary stickies. The average top score achieved for most students by the end of 5 Day CLM is around 17 extensions correctly applied in 5 mins which is pretty damn impressive for a complete beginner! The current record held by a beginner LashJoy student is a staggering 37 which is just insane for someone with absolutely no previous lash experience!! To put this into perspective, our lead educator @joylashstylist who has been applying extensions almost daily since 2008 has a current top score of 56...
