Many medications can alter lash retention through changes in body chemistry. In particular, Thyroid medications can have a negative impact on lash extension longevity. Be aware of any vitamin or supplement you are taking to promote hair growth! Any substance that changes hair growth can accelerate lash shedding. Never stop taking a prescribed medication for your eyelash extensions or suggest a client do so, however, asking about medications or supplements that can impact hair growth during consultations and troubleshooting can help you and your client understand their individual dynamics. This will help you plan the approach and set good expectations for how often a fill might be needed.
