22.01.2022 MORE ABOUT LASTING IMAGES & RECORDINGS October 14, 2013 at 7:51pm WHY WE STARTED LASTING IMAGES & RECORDINGS:... We have learnt that Video Tapes deteriorate faster than any other storage medium, even if not used and while stored. Video Cassette Recorders and Players also deteriorate quickly even if not used, and they are becoming unusable and irreparable, with the supply of machines and spare parts now being virtually obsolete. Having been employed at both the National Archives of Australia and the Pakenham Cemetery Trust, we appreciate the importance of preserving permanent records of our heritage, our loved-ones, and significant events in our lives, not only for our own precious memories, but also for our future generations. QUALITY & SERVICE: We pride ourselves on delivering a customised, personal and quality service however its important to note that the quality of the image does not improve with our Digital Conversion, that is, the reproduction will be the same as the Video Tape itself currently displays and sounds. However, while sometimes it may not be the sharpest of images or the greatest sound, it is our belief that any record of people or events that are important to us and evoke our emotions (whether laughter, wonderment or tears), is wonderful to have and well worth preserving. Having said that, we do take great care to provide you with the best possible vision and audio we can produce through Editing, including: Removal of blank frames, unintentional shots and unwanted footage; Insertion of "transitions" (fades, etc.) between scenes where the original filming has been interrupted (paused/stopped and restarted), and Addition of appropriate Chapter Points that are can be reached quickly and easily. WE ALSO: Use quality materials; Custom Design the label and print directly onto the DVD/CD; Custom Design the Cases which can be for single or multiple DVDs/CDs; Give great attention to detail, and Ensure your Privacy & Confidentiality are maintained at all times so that no personal information about you, including your images and recordings will be divulged without your express permission. OUR FEES: Vision: $35.00 per 2 hour DVD, or part thereof* Audio: $30.00 per Vinyl Record Album or Cassette Tape* (* inclusive of Labelled DVD/CD and Customised Case) Telephone or Text Fran: 0408 360484 or Email: [email protected] or Message us: www.facebook.com/LastingImagesRecordings to discuss your requirements and what we can do for you.
