23.01.2022 SEMI FINAL 2 Afghan warriors won the toss and got of to a flyer with Moheb Hashimi making 50 from 17 balls. DRS couldn't get any momentum with the ball but at the end the managed to squeeze the Afghan Warriors' tail and kept them from posting over 200. Az Pollock the best of the bowlers with 4 overs 2 for 42. DRS were chasing 183 for victory and there top order didn't disappoint. Az Pollock 46, Grant Noble 42 and Angadeep Singh with 50 of 21 balls. Drs just bogged down in the middle overs and just fell short on 167. Great effort boys! Shafi the star for the Afghan Warriors with 4 overs 1 for 22.

23.01.2022 Players wanted for 1130. All Games will be up on the top ovals after yesterday's storms.

22.01.2022 Gold Coast Chargers vs Risky Singles The GCC won the toss and said we will have a bat thanks. GCC got of to a flyer with Garred Birrel 51*(31) and Travis Harker 56*(20) closing off the innings with a home run. Making 3/177 of their 20 overs. The star with the ball was Matt Hunjas with 4 overs 2 for 19. The Risky Singles got of to flyer with Justin Phillips making 51*(30) and Blake Banham clubbing 53*(21) at the end. They fell just short of the total in an excellent game to view and be part of. The match was played in very good spirit and the humorous banter made sure everybody had a laugh.

22.01.2022 Our own Matt Lewis gets a mention this week

22.01.2022 Afghan Warriors flex their muscles in our second game of the Sunday against the GC Chargers. The Chargers never got their innings going with 5 guys scoring over 15 but all were nearly run a ball. The Afghan boys came out from ball 1 smashing everything they could. With Ellis Hashimi 55 of 25 and Hamad Ahmed 50 of 30. Player of the match was Benalla Hashimi with 35 of 20 and 2 over 1 for 3

21.01.2022 Afghan Warriors vs The Risky Singles TRS to it to the AW from the start with consistent line and length bowling. Wickets fell regularly with Tameem Ahmed being the stand out with 69 from 42. With the main weapon with the ball was Angddeep Singh with 2 for 22 from 3 overs. TRS turn to bat and chase 146. It became the Angaddeep Singh show. In a man of the match performance he smashed 75 from 31 the get the TRS over the line for the win in nailbitter

21.01.2022 We'll Bat First Vs Risky Singles The Risky Singles won the toss and elected to bat. Making a shaky start before Kade Vangeyzel smashed 50*(33) then the run dried up and they could only manage 5/128 of their 20 overs. WBF made short work of the toal reaching it in 14.3 overs with Adam Hyman and Blake Banham shooting 53*(29) and 52*(28).

21.01.2022 SEMI FINAL 1 We'll Bat First vs Deccan x1 WBF won the toss and surprised everybody and bowled first. The Deccan X1 got a slow but steady start with Sikander Singh making 31 from 23 balls. But with his wicket the pressure to score quickly and kept wickets in hand proved hard to do with the extreme pressure of WBF bowling and fielding. James McKenzie the star with 4 overs 2 for 26. Making a modest total 105 of their 20 overs. Was this enough ? Did WBF make the right decision to... bowl first? WBF made a slow but steady start to the run chase with Zac Hollis and Blake Banham both making 23. Which brought Greg Bourke to the crease. A couple cheap wickets fell around him to create some nerves for WBF. Chris Nilon then joined him and got the boys over the line in the 16th over. Unfortunately for Deccan X1 who's bowlers gave it everything they had. See more

21.01.2022 Who wants a game? A couple of players required for 9am.

21.01.2022 Gold Chargers vs Deccan X1 Deccan X1 won the toss and elected to bat. The Chargers started of well by taking a wicket in the first over. They keep it tight with the bowling not giving any bad balls away. Then the change of ends happened and they couldn't keep it up. Deccan X1 smashed in the last 5 overs to make 4/168 of their 20 overs. Chargers were confident walking out there but that was a far as they got. Losing 4 wickets in the first 4 overs killed any chance of chasing the total. The main destroyer was Rohit Khanduja with 4 for 15. The stand out with the bat was Sikander Singh with 55 from 35

19.01.2022 Deccan X1 vs DRS Sunday morning saw the Decan X1 get their first win if the series. A closely fought match with the ball. The Difference between the two side was Sikander Singh with 42no of 17 and 4 overs 2 for 10. A classy man of the match performance. Other mentions were Mat Lewis with 4 overs 3 for 16. Shaik Amer with 50no of 41

19.01.2022 What a great highlight this was for us. A bit different to previous years for reasons out of everyone’s control but the final of the Queensland Champs was a Gold Coast Derby with the Tradies You Can’t Trust and We’ll Bat First and it marks the first time in a major Australia LMS tournament where the two finalists have been from the same region! It was the Tradies who prevailed in the end in a score of 178-158 and it’s their fourth major title in 10 years! Fantastic once again...! Big shoutouts to Chris Nilon who was named batter of the tournament and Adam Hyman who was all-rounder of the tournament. Sterling effort from We’ll Bat First! Think you can top these boys? We want to see it! Join LMS this spring season on the Gold Coast and take on the locals at the Runaway Bay CC! Teams and players welcome! www.lastmanstands.com/play-cricket/goldcoast

19.01.2022 We'll Bat First vs Decants Deccan X1 won the toss and elected to bat and proceeded to make a steady start. Both openers Ram and Shaik made 39 and 28 before falling. WBF bowlers then started to starve to following batsmen of runs. Decca X1 could only make 134 off their 20 overs. Mitch Mcphee being the bowler with 3 overs 1 for 9. WBF walked out to bat quietly confident that they were going chase down the total. In brutal form they chased it down in 11.3 overs. Zach Hollis 50 of 19 and Chris Nilon 41 from 17 were the main scorers.

18.01.2022 Who Wants A Game? Spots available at 1130 tomorrow. Please comment if interested

18.01.2022 All games are of today. Grounds and pitches are too wet

18.01.2022 We'll Bat First vs The Afghan Warriors Unusually wing the the toss the WBF boys got of to a slow start and never really got going only making 3 for 146. Only Zach Hollister could manage a 38 ball 50. With all TAW bowlers bowling very tightly. TAW went out aggressively in the chase but regular wickets making it hard work. Edris Hashimi made 50 from 38. They fell short by 8 runs in a hard fought contest. Player of the match was Adam Hyman with 43 of 19 with the bat and 1 for 23 of 4 overs

17.01.2022 Gold Coast Chargers vs Afghan Warriors Batting first the Afghan Warriors destroyed the GC Chargers Bowlers making 242. Hamad Ahmad 52* of 29, Moheb Hashimi 51* of 17 and Jawid Ahmed 50* of 14 led the onslaught. The poor old Chargers bowling figures don't look that Flash. The Gc Chargers then had the task of trying to chase down the unbeatable target. They gave it a good show with Chris Bright smashing 81 from 43 and Mayen Moonsamy 53 from 39. Reaching 173 of their 20 overs.

15.01.2022 2020 Spring Series Grand Final We'll Bat First vs Afghan Warriors Afghan Warriors won the toss and elected to bat and put WBF under pressure. It turned out to be the other way round with the WBF bowlers not giving any runs away. Tanmeen Ahmed top scored with 40. Edris Hashimi made 30no including a massive home run of Adam Hyman giving the Afghan Warriors a sense of confidence that this game was theirs for the taking. Unbelievably Zac Hollis was the pick of the bowlers with 4 ...overs 1 for 18. WBF made a steady start to their inings with Greg Bourke making 54no but when he retired the continuous flow of wickets made for a thrilling finish. Down to the last over and the 6th wicket fell with 1 run to get brought Greg back out to bat. Down to the 2nd last ball and it hits Greg on the pad a massive appeal and the batsmen scamper for the leg bye, run out appeal. Both appeals turned down by the umpire and WE' Bat First wins. An epic final with an absolute thrilling finish. Watch the game on LMS TV or the game highlights. See more

Man of the match was Rana Faisal Iqbal with 30 of 14 balls and 4 overs 1 for 12. The biggest highlight with the bat was Blake Banham with 52no of 42.

Lms Gold Coast is extremely thankful for his efforts and time he has put in making the Gold Coast and Tweed comps arguably the best run competitions. Thanks Flats

12.01.2022 Afghan Warriors vs DRS The first game of the Spring Series on the Gold Coast. The Afghan Warrior got of to a Flyer thanks to their top3 batsmen. Hamad Ahmad 50 from 34 Shafi Faqiree 50 from 23 Edris Hashimi 52 from 30. But to Drs credit they pegged the run rate back in the last few overs to stop the Warriors posting over 200. Drs turn to bat and Simon Peters got them of to the flyer they needed with the first 2 balls smashed to boundary. Unfortunately for Drs the Afghan Warri...ors bowlers then switched into gear and bowled and impeccable line and length, giving the Drs boys nothing to hit. Drs batted out their 20 overs and were never really in the hunt for the win. Josh Carey was the only batsmen to put up some resilience with 37 of 31. Player of the Day goes Belall Hashimi with the bowling figures of 4 overs 3/16 and 13no of 8 with the bat. See more
