12.01.2022 Match Report Week 3 - Game 2 Half Charged vs 8 Wicketeers In game 2 the Half Charged boys tackled the 8 wicketeers.... Half Charged won the toss and elected to bowl as they set off in search of early wickets. It was not long before they had the 8 wicketeers in trouble but a stout innings from Trent 'Big Pappi' Sheehan 50* off 36 guided the 8 wicketeers out of trouble. But some tidy bowling especially from the new General Ged the Slebs Sleba kept the Teers to 4/133 off their 20 overs. In response the Half Charged boys led by Jeremy 'Mercenary' Haaksma 54* from 21 bludgeoned the Teers attack with Kharn 'Kharnage' Millward 50* off 34 at the other providing great support got the Half Charged boys a well earnt bonus points victory chasing the total in under 14 overs none down. Final result Half Charged 0/135 off 13.3 overs def 8 wicketeers 4/133 off 20 overs.



10.01.2022 Match previews Week 3 In the 1st game of the day provides us with a top of the table clash between the Kennedy Spanner Spankems vs the Chappellies. ... Smarting from their victory over the 8 wicketeers the Chappellies boys will go into Sundays game full of confidence looking to knock over the new boys. But with quality across the board the Spankems will be looking to knock off the top of the table Chaps boys. Can the Chaps create some space at the top of the table or will the Spankems knock off one of the competition heavyweights. Prediction: fence sitting In game 2 the 8 wicketeers look to get into the winners column as they take on the Half Charged boys looking to consolidate a spot in the top 4. After going down to some heavyweights in the 1st two games the Teers face another stern test but with steely resolve there hoping for a form reversal. On the other hand the Half Charged boys are looking to grab their 2nd win of the competition to sure up a place in the top 4. With indifferent weather around this could suit the teers and a possible upset is on the cards. Prediction: low scoring last man standing innings gets the Teers over the line. In the 3rd game of the Night-watchmen take on the In and Outs. A much improved game last week by the watchmen has had a few pundits sit up and take note and with the In n Outs undermanned can these boys spring a major upset and take down the perennial contenders. Or will the In n Outs find a way to scrap together a win. The In n Outs are looking to get back into the top 4 after last week's results and can't afford to drop points in this one. Prediction: hard fought tussle with In n Outs taking this one out in the last over thriller. In the last fixture of the day the Part Timers tackle the Big Bat Theory. With a win last week the Part Timers proved that they are here to contend and a win here to catapult them into one of the favourites to take out the title. But with the rain playing havoc The Big Bat boys are itching to get out this Sunday and grab that elusive win to get their campaign up and running. If we get lively conditions again look for this game to be a ripsnorter. Prediction: last ball thriller with Big Bat Theory taking the chocolates. 04.01.2022 Match Reports Week 3 - Game 1 Top of the table clash Chappellies vs Kennedy Spanner Spankems ... In what was dubbed the top of the table clash it certainly live up to the hype. The Spankems won the toss and elected to bat and was looking good as both Cameron ' Murri Magic' Moodie 50* off 32 and Zac 'The Park Cricketer' Beveridge 53* off 36 set the tone for the Spankems batting innings. But LMS veterans the Chappellies weren't overawed by the occasion and bowled great lines and lengths restricting the Spankems to a modest 3/153 off their 20 overs. In response the Chaps had a disastrous start losing two early wickets but in form Karl 'Bombay' Bliss 51* off 29 led the recovery and maintained 7.5 run rate and when victory was in site Bombay and Showtime blasted their way to victory inside 17 overs finishing on 3/154 off 16.3 overs. LMS Experience was crucial in this one as the Chaps showed that they will be the real deal coming into the back of this competition. Final result Chappellies 3/154 off 16.3 overs def The Spankems 3/153 off 20 overs.



01.01.2022 Match Report Week 3 - Game 3 Match of the week... The In n Outs vs Night-watchmen In a epic encounter The In n Outs went up against the Night-watchmen. With electing to bowl the Night-watchmen went out in search of early wickets but could only muster 1 in the early exchanges as late call up Chinchilla local 'Funky Miller' Nick Budden went to town smacking a well compiled 53* off 23 and was well supported by '007' 50* off 24. With the rate at 10 an over for the better half of 12 overs it looked like the In n Outs would reach the 200 mark but some fine bowling at the end restricted the Outs to 3/173 off their 20 overs. With the biggest score of the day The Night-watchmen batters came out with some gusto as Scott 'Big Rig' McLoughlin 50* off 32 launched the run chase. With momentum on their side the run rate through the middle was keeping pace and the watchmen were in a prime position to win their first ever LMS game against the perennial heavyweights and when they need 20 off the last 2 overs it was in site. And a 12 run over in the penultimate over had the watchmen only needing 8 off the last. Last over went . W . 1 1. Needing 5 to win Davies at the crease and '007' to bowl it. Was this gonna be 2019 Toowoomba Cup Final all over again and for alot of the strike down the ground it looked like it was gonna be a memorable home run ball but fell agonisingly short but evaded the fielder for a four and tying the match.
