24.01.2022 That’s Xmas done and over and a new year just about to begin. It’s the time that all family and friends get together and enjoy the festivities. This was Deans favourite time of the year where he would play tricks and let the child within come out to play. It is the time where we all would get dressed up in our Sunday best and off to the pantomime we would go. So it is at this time of the year where he is especially missed and it’s this time of the year when people remember th...eir loved ones who have passed. It is a bitter sweet time for all families. As everyone has lost at least one special person in their life. So let’s spare a thought for everyone but let’s remember they are always with us. Last year Dean became a grandfather and he is a bouncing baby boy who has just celebrated his first birthday. Dean would be over the moon. He is now about to become a grandfather for the second time. As his eldest son is about to have a baby. So as Liam once said my dad will never die. His DNA will survive from generations to come. So I hope you all had a merry Xmas and when the new year happens new journeys will begin and new experiences will happen. So embrace life and be kind to one and other. God bless. See more

23.01.2022 Thirteen years ago today my beautiful son grew his heavenly wings. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time when evil removed him from this earth. I often wonder if the 4 remember this day like me and my family. The massive sense of loss, the pain and suffering that still exists even today. Deans children all growing up into strong people despite the cowardly act that took their father. Most of these thugs fathers themselves whose own children have grown up without a fath...er. They say a leopard never changes his spots. Well we can only hope. Today, Dean is a grandfather and I’m sure is watching over his grandson. Living proof that no one truly dies as their DNA still live on in their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and so on. To coin a phrase of my oldest grandson Liam who on the day of his fathers funeral age 8 years asked me if I felt any better. Knowing how important to him that I was , I told him a little bit. He told me he looked like his dad and I replied that he did. Wondering where this was going. Liam said well one day I’ll have children and they’ll look like me. Yes I believe they will said I. Then my dad will never die. I think I’ve told this story a million of times. It is one that inspires me immensely. Out the mouth of babes. That statement is what has got me through all these years and as I gaze at everyone of his children, a nod, a smile a rant. I see my son. For that I’ll be eternally grateful. Rest In Peace my beautiful boy and continue to cause havoc in heaven until we meet again. Love and miss you forever. See more

22.01.2022 Today 14 years ago evil visited my family and cruelly took the life of my first born child Dean who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. 14 years, 14 hours, 14 minutes, or 14 seconds. It doesn’t matter as I live it every single minute of every single day. But what evil couldn’t do was take away the memories or the love we share together. His beautiful children, grandchildren and siblings who remind us of him. A glance, a smile the way he walked. My son lives on, especially with every breath that a new child brings when they enter our life. Dean will never be gone as he lives in our hearts forever. Rest In Peace my beautiful boy and I hope you are having a wonderful party with my mum and dad. Until we meet again

21.01.2022 13 years today I buried my son and opened a page in the evening express to see that one of his killers and his girlfriend was up in court for trying to do the same thing again to another innocent man. Only this time thankfully they never killed him as he was in a car. Mankind never ceases to amaze me. You live in hope that people who commit heinous crimes develop a sense of remorse and when released from prison try and make amends to society in some way. Alas it’s not to be. ...This scum continues his evil ways. To think I forgave him. Justice is never done. I only hope that Karma gets this evil bastard one day. He even tried to change his name in court to Shaun Stewart. His name is Shaun Paton. Hopefully he will be convicted and sent away for a long time to save some other innocent person suffering the same fate as my son and the innocent young man they set upon. Then our justice system seems to punish the innocent and provide the guilty with all sorts of support such as legal aid at a great expense from tax payers money. When will this STOP ? justice has to prevail. No more hand outs for scum like him and his associates who has disregard for humanity. See more

20.01.2022 Happy birthday to my darling boy Dean. How time flies.43 you would be today a grandfather soon to be. It sees like yesterday they cruelly took you away. Today we wished you happy birthday the family and I. I looked around your children all grown up. Your nephews and nieces, some you never met and I thought where does time go. I watched you all all living your lives as you should and I wondered. Sadness took over me and I thought maybe this will be the last time we all get together as you live your busy lives. The hustle and bustle of living in this world. I felt the distance, this silly old woman trying to keep everyone together. Have they all forgotten, who knows as they live their busy lives. I hope not.

19.01.2022 To day is my dear son Deans birthday. It has been a crazy year with loads of family and friends visiting. He became a grandfather on 31 December to a beautiful baby boy Grayson from his daughter Lauren and his son Liam is away to have a son in January. To coin Liam’s phrase. On the day of his fathers funeral age 8 years he told me I look like my dad Nana don’t I? And one day I’ll have children and they’ll look like me, so my dad will never die. A truer word never said. This ...is a year of great change for me and my family , what with new additions, I put my house in Darwin up for sale a couple of weeks ago. I have made the decision to return home to Scotland at the end of the year beginning of next year. I’ve also changed job after 8 years in the same office, so watch this space. The 4 individuals who callously took his life are all in jail. Kevin Lesley cut another inmate’s throat, Colin Stewart who turned queens evidence is in jail for terrorising vulnerable people into selling drugs from their homes and Shaun Paton, recently got convicted for threatening an innocent young footballer with a knife and punching him to the head. Sounds familiar. Thank god the young man had a car and so could escape. So who said a leapord changes their spots. I’m afraid no remorse or lessons learnt for those pathetic individuals See more

10.01.2022 Hi guys exciting things have been happening in relation to marketing my book. With some help from Samuel Jelleyman at Austin McCauley publishing . Ellen DeGeneres I’m waiting on the invite

09.01.2022 Hi guys. Firstly I want to thank those who sent me lovely messages and remembered my birthday. So I have decided to talk about 2 things. Thoughtfulness and perceptions. Both come in hand and hand but both require evidence. Firstly it means a lot that people remembered my birthday, especially since I’m so far from home. We are living in a world that is experiencing chaos for want of a better word. What with the fires burning and then the flooding in Australia. The eruption of ...the volcano in New Zealand and the Coronavirus in China to mention a few. Here we saw the thoughtfulness of many people who gathered round to support each other. In many ways such as donating and fund raising. People from all over the world took part. A kind word, kind thoughts to family, friends and neighbours. EVIDENCE people who didn’t know each other showing they care. Then you have the people who don’t care, who don’t donate and share a kind word who think that out of sight out of mind. They come up with alsorts of excuses such as charity begins at home. However these type of people don’t give, or care anyway but are the first to expect support and assistance in time of need. So it is important that you show you care and a kind word goes far. Let’s talk about PERCEPTION. How we see things isn’t always how it is. We perceive things for our own gain or because we want to see it a specific way. For example. Politics, we vote for who we perceive is the right person to run our Country. The parties spout their particular beliefs using words to get people to vote. But without evidence that they have done it. It is merely a perception on how they think that it is how to win votes. Perception is full of bias such as in families. You see your family as the best but that is your perception. Thankfully there is a lot of good and caring people in this world who are angels in disguise. Be one of them as you never know the journey you may or may not have to take See more

02.01.2022 Well life is certainly not boring in my life. I have recently returned to Darwin having spent 6 weeks with all my family and friends. It was like a whirlwind. 2 new furry children were welcomed into the family Balu and Willow. One beautiful granddaughter Taylor Elle made her enterence a month after I returned to Darwin. Exciting times another new niece my son Dean does not get to meet and enjoy physically but I believe will watch over. Number 12 grandchild. The family is gro...wing. We are waiting patiently for my granddaughter to give birth in January to my first great grandchild, yes, Dean is about to be a grandfather. This will be the saddest but beautiful time for us. Sad Dean won’t be here to enjoy and join in on this wonderful occasion but happy for another wonderful edition to our ever growing family. I’m sure he’s watching over this one and keeping him safe until he joins this mad lot he’ll call family. On the book news I have been undertaking some interviewing to promote my book. The P&J recently wrote an article about the book in Aberdeen. I will be in Take 5 magazine promoting the book in their October monthly edition and I undertook an interview with BBC radio. So it is all go. PS: if anyone has any contact with the Ellen show can you please tell her I’m waiting for a call ( lol) I want to dance on her show and promote my book to the wider audience as everyone watches her show. Don’t they? Another dream but you never know anything can happen so guys watch this space I have been packing so much into life recently as my friend Marion and her daughter has been visiting and it has been great catching up and doing a massive road trip to Kununurra which was funny and exciting. My handsome grandson accompanied me home Keelan and is here for at least a year working. An exciting experience for him and a blessing for us as we get to spend that time with him. So guys enjoy your friends and family and gather them memories See more
