25.01.2022 Some months ago as I was considering an 'angle' for a newspaper article about my Sci-Fi books I came across this old photo. Struck immediately by the image of my younger self on this enormous beast of a machine I knew straight away that it wasn't a motorcycle. It was a spaceship! So I put the caption on the photo and contacted the Editor of our local paper. The following day, as I searched for information on nearby habitable planets, for a new book, I found something quite extraordinary - a plutiho had been discovered in 2000, provisionally designated as 2000 EB173. Wow! Check out the registration number on Dad's motorcycle.
24.01.2022 Amazingly I found an actual Nebula (NGC 654) named the Cat's Eye Nebula, only about 3,200 light years as the crow flies. With the latest nano technology super telescope I found Jussi's planet. Didn't take much to convince her to come for a visit.

About the second or third day after the three cats had overcome their indignation at having been abandoned, Nick had the most satisfying interaction with Muska. He was busy spreading mulch around a garden bed when she found him and spoke to him. Not quite her normal ‘hello’ mew, sounding more like a demand for an explanation of his absence, accompanied by her direct ocular inquisition. It w...as a bright languid sort of day. Nick lowered himself to the ground to lie propped up on one elbow. Muska sat thirty centimetres directly in front of his face. Those summer sky blue sparkling eyes of hers renewed their intimacy with his. Nick’s heart swelled at the beauty before him, and when she spoke to him his soul took flight. He reached out with his free hand to cup the top of her head in his palm. There wasn’t anything he could say. They just looked at each other and he was lost in her. Then she stood, her tail curling a final question at him before cuddling into his chest. Starting up her motor she enveloped him in her super purr, a purr worthy of a lioness; loud, strong, both giving and demanding affection. It was a purr that vibrated peace with each breath inhaled and absolute contentment with each breath exhaled. Nick could feel the atoms in his heart rearranging themselves to accommodate her splendid kitty-hood. He couldn’t say how long he lay there like that until Mala’s voice winding its way down the path broke the spell. What are you doing on the ground? I’ve been calling and calling! I need you to come and smell the milk. Realities have many manifestations. He thought of Riin and what she looked like. He wanted to think of Mary, but the only image he had of her was the one he created himself. Unity had taken that away, as well as the other portraits. Nick was oblivious to everything except Muska’s loving purrs. Enveloped by her aura, he had ceased to exist and became one with his kitty, soaking up the sun, revelling in the bliss of existence. Later, after tea and the washing up, pondering upon the kitty in the grass, he was certain that somehow it wasn’t just him who found unity with Muska. Yes, he loved cats, and dogs. All critters for that matter. But to find such a level of connection he didn’t think he was capable of such a thing. ... See more
