24.01.2022 #Lat27 is currently working with Toowoomba Region on two landscape planning studies to develop policies and strategies to protect landscape and scenic amenity values across the Toowoomba region. The first step in the engagement process for this study was the 'Love your Local Landscapes' project photo competition. There were 258 amazing images received showcasing Toowoomba's diverse and unique landscapes. The rich texture of planting, pebbles & timber evokes the idea of 'found objects' inviting wonder, interest & interaction which in turn stimulates community. 02.01.2022 We're happy to share Lat27 Director Nathalie Ward FAILA & Lat37 Director Amanda Roberts have been appointed to the New South Wales' State Design Review Panel. Amanda was appointed to the pilot program panel two years ago and the success of this panel has led to the commencement of a larger, permanent panel run by the Government Architect of New South Wales. The newly expanded panel comprises of a pool of 100 design experts, 88 independent professionals in the areas of archite...cture, landscape architecture, urban design, Aboriginal and European culture and heritage and sustainability and 12 members drawn from a range of government departments to act as state government design champions.
