24.01.2022 FUCV v Marcie Schneider Day 2 - #remotemadnesshappensathome
24.01.2022 Day 12 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider. Today, a sex change and the kind of dry-aging only a veteran butcher could appreciate. Like COVID, only Marcie, the remotely mad Designer, knows what Monday will bring.
22.01.2022 Day 22 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider Shes in her 20s, both in age and the extraordinary number of days shes been keeping us entertained, so why wouldnt Marcie, the remotely mad Designer, throw caution to the wind, flaunt her disdain at how long this vindictive virus keeps her in costume and, as a result, go completely Flappers?
21.01.2022 Day 16 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider Its almost the long weekend and Marcie, the remotely mad Designer, has been working hard as a House Elf to bring happiness to our team for the past three weeks. But now someone has given her a sock, so MARCIE IS FREE!!!! (At least until next Tuesday.)

21.01.2022 Having a look back at the Annual Report we put together last year for the Shire of Mingenew as we work on the 2019/20 edition. There’s nothing quite as satisfying as nailing the typesetting in text-heavy publications!
21.01.2022 FUCV Off Tuesday!
20.01.2022 Day 11 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider. It turns out that the Psilocybin (look it up) that Marcie, the remotely mad Designer, had for breakfast yesterday were stronger than anticipated, and not the type that you pair with eggs. Today, wearing love hearts cut from post-it-notes (again, effects of the brekky) and a doona-dissolving get up from Nanas wardrobe, she will reboot and be ready to face Day 12 wearing only God knows what....
19.01.2022 Day 20 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider Two things went wrong on Day 20 for Marcie, the remotely mad Designer. Overly excited about it being Friday and the prospect of two days of costumes down, she went to work to celebrate our Flicks birthday. First she got the age a bit wrong (perfectly photoshopped by a writer). Second always consider what the camera sees. Happy birthday FLICK!
18.01.2022 Introducing the Sunset Bar a branding job that we recently completed for another one of our south west clients, Dolphin Discovery Centre. The bar itself overlooks Bunbury’s stunning Koombana Bay and is now running regular Sunday sessions featuring live local acts. Be sure to pay them a visit next time you’re down their way!
17.01.2022 [2/2] ‘Murray’ was filmed on a farm 25 km east of Moora and ‘Pete’ on the Blackwood River, 20 km or so upriver from Molloy Island, where our Art Director, Jasmin Bernhagen, grew up. Both sites were very remote Mark Lucas and Jasmin spent a few days sourcing and ‘pinning’ potential locations prior to the shoot. Each job had in excess of 50 takes to land the perfect shot. The voice talent on both spots are all famous Australian actors and, we feel, added real authenticity to the campaign.
17.01.2022 LA are pleased to announce the appointment of Bevan McFadyen to our web development team. For many months, we (Az & Jake) have very patiently sat outside the gates of Perth’s better learning institutions, waiting for graduates who we believe could be the next big thing. Happy to say, ‘we got our man’!
16.01.2022 Day 17 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider WHERES MARCIE? Marcie, the remotely mad Designer, is usually one to stand out in any crowd, but our update was a little late today because it took us so long to find her!
16.01.2022 Last post before we’re outta here! We recently had the pleasure of branding community engagement program, Fishing for Science, for client, Recfishwest. Fishing for Science researchers attend fishing tournaments and collect samples from the fish caught to determine their age, diet and health. Data is also collected on ‘catch and release’ species via length measurements, weight estimates and tagging, without removing the fish from the water.... This kind of engagement program, along with the communication of research outcomes, empowers recreational fishers to play a more informed role in the management of our fisheries. Check out the Lateral site to see what else we’ve done for Recfishwest
15.01.2022 Excited to share with you that our very own Mark Lucas has joined the WAMMCO Board.
14.01.2022 Day 19 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider With the question of when our airports will reopen still very much up in the air, Marcie, the remotely mad Designer, let fantasy take flight and took herself off to a higher plane. (She asked to be upgraded to first class but they told her she was dreaming.)
14.01.2022 Weve trialed remote work places and how our art department might deal with video links - and if they were mature enough to work from home should the FUCV get worse. Marcia Schneider is struggling with the concept.
13.01.2022 Day 7 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider. Upon hearing of the ships stranded off of Fremantle and riddled with disgusting tourists, Marcie, the remotely mad Designer, took it upon herslf to Navy up, head out and remove the bungs. (shes losing it)
13.01.2022 Day 14 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider Today, we recap, whilst Marcie, the remotely mad Designer, recapes. Its not bloody easy fighting this battle, but as you can see from the non-chronological yet hysterically historical portrait styled pictorial portrayed below, shes got what it takes. (But does she have the wardrobe to go the distance?)
12.01.2022 Day 18 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider This global pandemic has left many of us feeling all at sea and none more so than Marcie, the remotely mad Designer. So when she heard that people were wearing face masks she decided to get on board!
12.01.2022 Day 5 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider. As a remotely mad Designer, Marcie faces challenges and fights battles that others can only dream about. As such, she dresses approprately.
12.01.2022 Welcome to the February edition of the monthly Doggo Friday here at Lateral precious Poppy Clover Butler-Ward spent the day cheering up the team. Well be sure to keep you updated RE: advancements in her modelling career over the coming months.
10.01.2022 Day 15 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider Its hump day and Marcie, the remotely mad Designer (or is it miner?), is feeling high in both spirits and visibility. Though were not 100% convinced the clear liquid in her hydration pack is water
10.01.2022 Day 6 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider. Is a horse a horse? Of course! Today, Marcie the remotely mad Designer, dropped her guns and helicopter and rode into the meeting upon a 200 pound quadraped called Justice. (just out of shot).
10.01.2022 FAME v FUCV v Marcie Schneider As news of our agency-grown superheros retirement rocks the country, Marcie, the remotely mad Designers fame continues to spiral out of control. (Thanks to Amber Sheldon & Ben OShea @ The West Australian Newspaper)
10.01.2022 Make sure you get up to Mingenew and catch a glimpse of the wildflowers before the season is over! For more information on the best wildflowers sites, accommodation facilities and more, visit the interactive landing page we created for client, Shire of Mingenew. mingenew.wa.gov.au/wildflower-season/
10.01.2022 Day 8 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider From sinking ships, swinging swords, wielding knives and saving the world in a nurses uniform, Marcie, the remotely mad Designer, can do and has done, it all.
09.01.2022 One week to go!
08.01.2022 Very proud to announce that Lateral Designer, Marcie Schneider, has been selected to join the judging panel for the 2020 Australian Graphic Design Association Awards Student Identity category. Good luck to all entrants! AGDA AGDA WA
08.01.2022 Day 13- FUCV v Marcie Schneider Solving Covid is like solving a puzzle and Marcie, the remotely mad Designer, may well be the last missing piece. (Weve asked her to stop this nonsense, but shes not the type to lego easily.)
07.01.2022 Day 25 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider THE BIG REVEAL! - Until now, Marcie, the remotely mad Designer, has been saying FUCV! using a range of elaborate disguises, so today we were utterly flummoxed when she turned up as the actual RMD! (its an abbreviation). This is her in in real life and, aside from her jocks being a bit sideways, its easy to why shes kicked COVIDs backside! Will she be back - or... is... this........ it? (So like Batman.)
07.01.2022 The Australian Graphic Design Association Awards finalists have just been announced and we’re almost as surprised as our toothless friend here to have been acknowledged in the ‘Motion: Commercial and Advertising’ category for the AQWA ‘Did You Know?’ television campaign! And no, Marcie didn’t judge this category This is the first year we’ve entered the awards, and we’re incredibly proud and honoured to have been recognised among Australia’s best. The campaign was of course... a team effort congratulations are in order to the following: Animation Studio: Jumbla Sound Studio: Sonic Playground Studios Music Composer: Robert Upward Voice: Audrey Tinkler Last, but certainly not least, we can’t forget to thank AQWA The Aquarium of Western Australia we had a blast collaborating with the AQWA team to produce this series and we look forward to continuing our work together. Can’t wait to see what the future has in store! AGDA AGDA WA
07.01.2022 In December, client Coast Homes put the finishing touches on its latest show home. Located in Trigg, ‘The Point’ commands special attention and as such we introduced a new photographic style for the Perth builder. The results, like the home, are beautiful, bright and airy and go a long way to selling the real feel of this resort style offering. Here’s a sneak peek featuring the stunning details we recommend you visit to experience the home in full!
06.01.2022 [1/2] Following a competitive pitch, we won the battle to create a television campaign for global business advisory firm, RSM Australia and created two TV commercials 'We Understand 'Pete'' and 'We Understand 'Murray''. The ads featured on Best Ads on TV, Ads of the World and Campaign Brief. Once again, we teamed up with Melbourne Director, Ian Reiser, and hand-picked Cinematographer, Torstein Dyrting (6x Australian Cinematographers Society Golden Tripods), for the job. The ads have an original music score, composed by Robert Upward, and sound design a major component of the production was handled by Matthew Gerber-Corn of Sonic Playground.
05.01.2022 Day 24 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider The fact that Marcie, the remotely mad Designer, forgot to shave thismorning is nothing but an indicator of just how serious this social shutdown, distance thingy is. Imagine the smell!
05.01.2022 Marcie, the remotely mad Designer, finds viral fame in Campaign Brief. See the story - https://wa.campaignbrief.com/schneider-gives-lateral-colle/

04.01.2022 Day 9 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider. Whats fast, furious and boiling f.....g hot? Its Marcie, the remotely mad Designer, and shes saving the advertising industry on a Harley, at home, one fully leathered logo at a time. (Weakness? She will break for coffee.)
03.01.2022 Day 10 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider. Day 10, for goodness sakes! - Marcie, the remotely mad Designer, has spent 80 hours (inc lunch breaks) fighting the fight whilst the rest of us do nothing. Today she chose peace, drugs and a satin look super-hero costume from a Royal Show lolly bag to get her through.
02.01.2022 Day 23 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider 23 is a number closer to Marcie, the remotely mad Designers, real age than 20, but if she chooses to go back in time on her birthday, so be it. (As documented, shes been to every other time-zone, genre and country already). Happy Birthday Marcie! - from Latz and your now many hundreds of thousands of remotely mad followers.
02.01.2022 Day 21 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider Marcie, the remotely mad Designer, has always been someone who scrubs up well, so when advised to wash with soap for 20 seconds to avoid infection she really soaked up the advice. We finally had to burst her bubble and explain shed misunderstood the situation. (Her language was pretty dirty, so weve given the sanitised version.)
02.01.2022 The many moods of remotely mad Marcie. Day 3/4 - FUCV v Marcie Schneider.
