21.01.2022 I want to infinitely thanks all those who attended the 25th anniversary of Mi Tierra; it was really a memorable night and it would remain forever in our memorie...s. Thanks to Erika Rodriguez Bell my niece and former piano player; for her concern and coming from Sydney to support us; you were an excellent MC and the cake was delicious; to my sister Marita from Sydney for the beautiful flowers. Thanks to my niece Emely from Em & ivory- Canberra; for the colorful and professional decoration of the venue. Thanks Becky Kokoloco, for the floor show, allowing my grandchildrens to be part of it. A Ebert Contrease and Leah for his bachata show; without been part of any dance academy, he has demostrated what feeling, musicality and body moves is all about. To Antun Sep, the Croatian club manager; it was the best attention and service we ever had, delicious food, funny and generous bar attendants. Thanks to Dede Da Cruz, the best Latin DJ in town,so far. Finally to my musicians; who came from Sydney Giorgio Rojas and Elshagy Hurtado Pacheco; to the new ones Sam Garcia on the vocals and Frankito Candela Contreras on the guitar; you were awesome; to Willem Ayamiseba on the percussion who is back after more than 20 yeas; to Alex Ross, he's back after 5 years; and a special mention to Louise Rojas on the piano; she used to play for us 20 years ago when she was single, now she's back again; but being already my daughter in law and has given me 3 beautiful grandkids; she made my life, along with her husband on the bass guitar, my son Valeri Rojas who will never leave me alone; also thanks to the cuban master on the trumpet Antonio Baldoquin. To the former musos, John Kingsley Felstead, as usual the best saxo player we ever had, Jonathan Cohen, still being one of the best Latin piano player out there, Angelo Ballon as usual giving joy and energy to the group. Thanks to all once again and stay tune for the Latin events at the Australian Croatian Club. God bless you all.
